So lovely. 🥰My mom use to measure the water with her hand. She would fill the pot and put her "clean hand" in the pot, and when the water is right above the knuckles. Her rice was perfect every time. It was like magic. #oldschool

I was a little hesitant trying this recipe because I've never perfected white/basmati rice on the stove without it being too soggy or too dry. I made this rice today and I must say I'm trying in SHOCK! I used basmati rice and a little bit of white rice because I ran out of basmati and it came out great! Rice was a little too raw for me after the steaming so I added about another 3/4 cup of water and covered and let steam for an additional 10 minutes and rice was perfect

You are washing out the vitamins in the rice not the starch . Check your label on your package . Some labels will have it written on it . For example Ben’s Original. Love you video.
