You could probably sub the thickened cream with sour cream. Its what i do in danish cooking. Easier, cheaper and more uses in my household

Speaking from the position of someone who makes this often, you can use any white wine. Especially the cheap stuff. Don’t use expensive wine in cooking

@@glor2478 No problem! Same here, as in I don’t drink wine. So I just get the cheapest bottle I can. When it comes to cooking, cheaper is better. You’d only be wasting money on expensive wine. Also one tip/piece of advice for this recipe. The video calls for equal parts wine and cream. Personally, I would NOT use that much wine. For 1 cup of cream I would only use the tiniest splash of wine, otherwise it will just taste sour.

Thickened cream. I use Bulla Cooking cream as it's ever so slightly thicker and makes a nicer sauce. If you're not in Australia, I think the closest equivalent is "heavy cream".
