Taking a swig of beer before you get started. That did it for me, I had to give a like and subscribe. Nice job!

Tomahawk's are my favorite! I just cooked one in the oven (at viewer's request) but the smoker is the way to go. Great vid!
@brandondoesbbq42523 жыл бұрын
You definitely can’t beat a good tomahawk! I used to do a ton of great steaks reverse sear with the oven. But once I started experimenting with the smoker it was game over lol.

Greece!!??? What’s the BBQ scene like out there? Thanks for watching!
@simergr3 жыл бұрын
@@brandondoesbbq4252 Hi there. Here in Greece we mostly BBQ pork lamb and fish. Beef is mostly used on stews and burgers. Only lately Greeks are realizing what can be done with good quality beef steaks and above all correct cooking. Needles to say most Greeks think that the reddish meat in the steak is blood and usually overcook the meat and destroy it hence they go back at safe choices like pork and lamb. Beef is not in our food culture but things are changing thanks to the flow of information on the net . Thanks for posting your vid it was really good to see you enjoy family BBQ with your daughters.

So this here is when all things political disappear. Americans truly love Americans. This is so heart moving and hits home.

Great video! If I could offer a suggestion, the music was distracting. One mans opinion. Other that, I loved everything about this video. Thanks for sharing

We actually did away with that song, but we replaced it with a different one on the newer videos lol. Appreciate the advice and thanks for watching!

cooking temperature, bro?
@brandondoesbbq42523 жыл бұрын
You would want your smoker between 230-250 and let your steak cook until the internal temp reaches 120. Then pull it off and transfer it to a hot grill (I had mine at 500) to finish it off. I cooked mine to medium rare at 135 internal. I recently starting including recipe stills in my videos so that if anyone wanted to replicate one of my cooks they could easily do so. If you’re interested, check out the video I made where I cooked a dry aged tomahawk with the same reverse sear method and you can just take a screenshot of that recipe still for all the temps I used.

Is it OK to do Tequila shots first or does the Beer make it official ??? Great Video Thank You for sharing !

people on these tomahawk videos usually say something like "this would feed 2-3 people" ..... I could eat that whole steak no problem

Not sure if you meant to do it purposefully but your receipe is almost verbatim a carbon copy of the smoked tomahawk that the guy at howtobbqright did.
@brandondoesbbq42523 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to go back and check but in all honesty if you use any of his rubs then that could be the case; considering a reverse seared tomahawk from the smoker to a grill is one of the most common methods!
@lunchboxlady29453 жыл бұрын
Looks super expensive. Although very yummy probably would take me four days to finish that steak
@brandondoesbbq42523 жыл бұрын
It’s not that expensive depending on where you go. I got those from Sam’s Club for about 30 dollars each and each one would feed two very hungry people at least! It’s certainly worth the money for a special occasion dinner!
