I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Loneliness and the grief with the loss of a loved one can be very difficult in general and even more so during the holidays. My recommendations would be to continue to do the things that bring you joy and challenge yourself to connect more with others within the same interests. Not necessarily romantically but just to have some additional support and connection. When it comes to dating I would recommend sticking to your values in what you want and need, which sounds like you are. Boundaries and values are essential within healthy relationships and continue to filter and advocate for yourself in which you want and deserve! Over the next week leading into Christmas, is there some social settings or activities you can be engaging in with family, friends, co-workers, or any other social group to help with the loneliness?
