A little side note here. I’m no longer top 10, but I held it for a while after the game fully launched. And I learned one thing. If you want to have fun, don’t strive for the leaderboard. This game has way too many cheap ways to be played that completely negate a good mechanically skilled player. The amount of times I have ran into ki blast spamming into an unblockable ultimate at point blank range is insane. Even with these counters to it, they can still do over a bar of your health by ki blasting you alone. There’s no real way to counter this, unless you somehow go sparking as they do this too you. They just need to fix their game. No one in top 10 currently is not doing this.

Boost dashing also makes you immune to weak ki blasts, you can use that to get to their face as they have as they are locked in animation when shooting them. If you're close to them the ki blasts sent away will return to their face instead.

Ranked in this game is exactly as I predicted I got a lot of hate saying I was complaining when I was just pointing out major issues with how this game will interact with ranked and how to improve those issues, nobody listened especially not bandai and now we have one of the most toxic, anti-fun, anti-skill based mess of a ranked mode. Every match is one of 3 things, spammers, meta characters or laggy mess. Once you get to high B the match making breaks and regardless of what you put into ur preference of matching you'll get matched against high A to even S even after a loss streak due to mostly lag and spam. This video only illustrates that you must adopt cheesy and spam riddled methods to counter spam, which if you've caught the trend is not skill based gameplay its essentially who is better at spamming cheese which is no fun at all. BT was never meant to be competitive and this ranked mode basically proves to everyone this type of game shouldn't be ranked because even the highest ranked players look ass to me, nothing is impressive about their play they just spam the most cheesy BS and win. Thats not even mentioning DP battles where most peoples teams are designed to just be unbeatable due to team switch spam, yajirobe and wheelo cheese.

Here's a good cheap tactic to go over. Z-Dash -> X-Y (Knock up. Forgot the name) -> A (Dash) -> 5X for true knockdown. If you're in the air it gives you/enemy so much time to do whatever you want its ridiculous because, depending on how high you are, it will take forever for the person hit to recover since it can take up for 4 seconds for them to hit the ground and like 2 to recover. You can't fight on the ground because they already retreat to the sky, and you can't spam ki blasts because free SP if they deflect. Because it's also so little inputs the window for any Super Parries is little, and with how often it can be spammed it can cost a lot of SP for Revenge Counters.

The uptime is too much, you can have it like 80% of the time, it should be nerfed to 5 seconds or give it a big activation time or something. It's pretty bad. Because the counter to it is to vanish and then grab/counter/ki. This means for 15 seconds you legit are locked out of most forms of combat, while they are unhindered. And it's not like you see 1 afterimage strike per game, it's more likely you'll see at least 4. So vs vegito you are stuck playing a crutched form of combat. Any good player will play predictive, and more options means more ways to trip you up.

@vonkrieger4510 I wanted to say that playing super aggressive has a huge flaw 0:56. You can give your opponents the work and all they need is one knock back and BOOM! instant sparking. That’s because the game has a hidden and broken mechanic (that wasn’t displayed in the tutorial btw) where you have an extra way of generating skill points. Imagine slapping your opponent around and hit them with a combo + one rush/blast attack and the skill point stock shoots up to 3😂and another one being able to generate it again with constant vanish attacking when your countering another vanish attack😂and input lag is another enemy but I’m not going to get into that. I was #29 on the leaderboard and rank A2 when this game first launched. I’m no longer that either because it’s hard going against cheesy play styles especially if the game is giving them a hidden comeback system. I agree this game was taken out the oven too early and needs some patches because yajirobe definitely didn’t need one.🤷🏽‍♂️

I play Master Roshi. I don't use Afterimage Strike until I see my opponent trying to be cheesy or if they pick obviously broken characters. I encounter SO much cheese and I'm only B3 (Yet still beats A1s). Explosion Alt Spam is a common one, get in sparking, dash in and do the explosion from 0 range. Twist is they dash behind you right after shooting a ki blast so one will stun if the other fails, then they explode. Best way to dodge is hold guard. A cheese I DON'T know how to counter is sparking Giant Dash spam... I HATE Giants. I know big DP characters can stun them, but what if I dont got any? I cant vanish their basic combo and they cant be stunned by many things-

Ok so afaik we have 4 methods of countering AOE multi-hitting ults: 1 - wild sense (ez, pretty consistent) 2 - afterimage strike (ez, sligthly inconsistent cuz it lasts for 15 sec) 3 - try to predict when the opponent is gonna throw the ult, and do a Vanishing Assault before the ult cutscene plays (hard, slightly easier if u r always near the opponent cuz characters always backdash if too close before throwing ults/supers, so u can do a Vanishing Assault whenever u see them backdashing) 4 - tap into ultra instinct in real life and do a High-Speed Evasion for each and every hit of the ult (pretty damn hard, might not even fully counter if the ult deals more than 8 hits) Method 4 in action: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYTHkKxnlN57m7c

Maybe I'm in the minority. But after 60 hours of playtime, I feel like giants are the ultimate issue in team formation. Having to keep a 7-dp in your back pocket to counter giants (4-5 dp) is terrible design. Its causing the need to use some OP characters just to make it past high A tier. Try a team of burter//videl//hercule//trunks//teen gohan----and then watch how half your team just completely stops functioning against janemba until they hit ssj. If giants weren't so damn outplayed by higher dp, there would be less insentive to have a fusion in pocket or broly

I think youtube influences people a lot. Even those try-harding in the low tiers aren't using anything but Gogeta or Vegito. And that's odd, because there are a LOT of OP characters. But they want to win so badly they run to youtube for a guide, what characters to play, and how to play. All that before just discovering the game for themselves. Bro games like fighterz, smash bros, Tekken and street fighter were taken serious with way way way worse shit going on. Tekken use to have one shot grabs no matter the health and hard stuns that stacked lmfao. Street fighter was legit super spam the entire fight until sf4 and even still, if someone had a plus on block super it was getting spammed.

It’s so much more fun to play the game and get good at it rather than rely on these things holding your hand. I started the game playing UI Goku and stopped pretty quickly because it felt incredibly boring and cheap. Zero skill involved in my wins.

I’m high S1 pushing Z rank and I played lots of games today and constantly (every game) played someone who was trying to cheese me to win (spamming unblockable ki blasts, sparking mode, unblockable ults and what not) so I had to force myself to counter their cheese….by cheesing them back. Ranked and specifically singles, even though I’m high ranked is getting so insanely boring due to everyone just trying to cheese, forcing myself to cheese them back just to win is such a drag

Yes we can, but the timing is strict and online is just not consistent, cheesy players know this and abuse it in their favour. Like whenever I play a Match against a laggy Jiren I already know what he is going to do 😒

Whether they gain them too fast or not it should be much harder to go insta sparking. And 15 seconds for After image is ridiculous. Make it harder to use. Or make them less frequently available
