you don't know how happy I was to see that bubble. I have tried to figure it out, over chilling my cake and under chilling my room. not chilled cake etc. I could never really understand and sometimes it happens hours after I've done decorating. but I will def try the pressing down method to expel more air to make sure, maybe that's the bit Im leaving out. really nice job thanks.

The top cake, you don’t need to take the bottom board out? I wanted to do a wedding cake but kind of scared if I’ll mess it up. Anyway, your videos helps so much just curious about the bottom board for the top cake.

If I took the board off then what would the cake be sitting on? The board is there to support the weight of the cake. Very important, especially in wedding cakes :)

hi again :) quick question if i make the fondant covered cake in advance for a wedding. should i refrigerate it? or keep it at room temperature? and if so how many days in advance can i do that ? tia!!
@SugarGeekShow5 жыл бұрын
Refrigeration is best for stability during transport.
@mk4u1235 жыл бұрын
Sugar Geek Show yes but if i was told that fondant gets ruined in the fridge. i want to make the cake a day in advance and wanted to know if refrigerating it will really ruin it
@SugarGeekShow5 жыл бұрын
@@mk4u123 No, refrigeration does not ruin a cake. You might get some condensation when it first comes out of the fridge but it doesn't ruin it. I refrigerate every.single.cake

Why did you use Renshaw fondant instead of LMF for this cake? I would have expected you to use Wilton fondant if you just wanted a ready-made. Is Renshaw better?
