How to cover a ring with tatting

Great video. I've tried variations of this before I learned tatting. I wonder if you could use those mini armature clamps that have the movable/lockable armatures to hold the ring, especially the larger ones, in place while you tat around it? It could give you an extra hand to hold the metal ring while you make an outer ring along the way. Of course I guess a plain-jane mini-vice would work so long as you pad the vice's gripping plates so you don't damage the work as you go.

Christopher M Try that it just may work. I have what they call a third hand gizmo I find useful in many occasions. I believe that just because something works for one particular craft does not mean it won't work with another. I am always trying to simplify things and try things to make something easier to do or more accomodating to do.the worst case scenario is it doesn't work. best case it works great and makes your tatting adventure easier. sorry but in this video all I'm looking at are those plastic rings!?! Maybe you can reshoot this lesson better so we can see you work it. I like this lesson but too bad we can't see your actual hand work.
