Thank you. for sharing. .i made a quilt top using scraps of my western fabric to cover a bench for shoes for the garage. After completing my project, which is quit heavy as i had added fleece and a muslin back,, and had quilted the top, I added some brown suede as the border when I WAS GOING TO staple to the bottom of the seat, (rather than staple my quilted fabric,) but opted to use a drawstring casing to wash later which will keep my quilted top fresh . I will curve my edges to reduce bulk, serge, and add a 1 inch casing for my cord. Can't wait to complete my project!

Thanks very much. I am doing this as a small job in my town for someone else. I had a bit of an idea how to do it, but your tutorial has given me direction. :) I will be using elastic instead of the draw string.

Recovered an old stool that belonged to my mom. I have been thinking about the best way to do it for nearly a year. I did not want to use glue or staples or damage the existing cover. I wanted it to match the drapes in my bedroom and protect the existing cover. I’m stuck at home with COVID and found your tutorial. I mostly followed your instructions. I used elastic. My cover could not be tucked under due to the legs being flush with the top.

Great tutorial, and I love the drawstring method. Only thing I ha e to add is, the background, repetitive "music" is annoying as all get out.

I think I get that you curve the corner to remove bulk but how do you judge the depth of the curve, I’m afraid to cut to much off
@TheSewingChannel

measure the depth and however much you would like it to under plus don't forget to add the seam allowance

What's the purpose of the beige fabric in between the stool and sponge?
@TheSewingChannel

Great question..... it is to prevent any extra “slipping “ when someone puts their feet up on it. (It is one of those grippy shelf liners.) ✅🤓✂️
