How to crack Off-Campus Job / Internship (as a tier 2/3 college student)

Story of Most Engineering students:
0. They waste 3 years of their graduation learning almost nothing
1. They WAKE up in the 4th year, just before the placements are about to begin
2. Now they have very less time and have to study DSA, make projects for Resume, have to study DBMS, OS, Networking and many other things.
3. They PANIC
4. They start to do everything they can, and learn from here and there
5. They get demotivated to see very less progress
6. In the hustle of learning everything in short time, they end up learning Nothing
7. They feel sad, demotivated and low confidence
8. A low confident person is nervous in interviews
9. Placement begins and soon the reality hits hard
10. Low confidence even gets lower when they're start failing placement interviews one after another
11. They graduate and end up getting NO job!
12. Now, many of them feel that Engineering was not my thing, start preparing for govt jobs, CAT, or join some random MBA college
13. Some go abroad for MS, some start preparing for GATE, and some of the lucky ones end up contributing to family business
I see this happening every year with many engineering students. (especially tier 2/3 college students)
I advice students that,
Don't rely on college placements. 🙏
Have a Plan B 🤷‍♂️
Most students make this mistake,
they somehow think that they will definitely get good placement from college.
It is far from the reality.
The best option is to prepare yourself mentally and have a plan B.
If you have a Plan B, then it will be much easier for you to deal with your emotions if things did not work out for you.
But what is your plan B?
What if you don't get a good placement, what will you do?

Hey Akshay! I stopped watching this kind of videos on road maps because they give generic criticisms and suggestions Which I'm already aware of. I know my flaws... I know my resume is a joke and thats why I didn't even put it in your linkedin post to review. I'm not irresponsible... I've been working on something at every stage in my btech... Now that I'm in final year.. I don't have anything that standsout. It's so confusing but I didn't give up on myself. I'm tired of watching videos telling me What's wrong with me or telling me I what I should do... But they never taught me something I didn't know! But your video.... It's different! Instead of just pointing out my weaknesses as a tier 3 student... You showed me simple steps to strengthen them. I'm so glad I clicked in this video instead of fearing the length. You predicted my way of thinking very well..... Like thinking about what to do... Where to start and after seeing the project list.. What to chose among them. You know what? I've seen many famous youtubers, with more views and likes than you Have, made videos on projects. I've watched them all. They end up saying I need a unique, complex project that stands out. I already know that. But You're the only one who taught complex how.. And unique in which way. I've been trying to find an idea for my project and seeing You list out amazing ideas so easily, left me speechless. Every single idea is better than what I'd ever have thought. I'm so lazy to comment usually but after immense help your video did to me... I Couldn't leave without comment. I subscribed to your channel today... I can't believe how long I've wasted. And for the social media part, you know what? That's what I do... I don't use any social media except linkedin and another app that I practice speaking english on. I Don't even use whatsapp for that matter. Whenever I use instagram, I think "the developer of instagram worked hard and he must be proud seeing how many users are hooked on it. I wanna be such a developer not the foolish user so I've no kaam on insta." I'd love it if make a video on how to build a any project from scratch.. I mean the resources one can use and the life cycle of a project from a newbie's scenario. This doubt is What's keeping me from starting a project before completing a whole set of technical skills.
