This was really cool, thanks for sharing! What if the plane had a texture and UVs already applied? Would this denting just stretch in the affected spot? If so, is there a way to swap textures in between keyframed animations to hide the blemishes to create something more dynamic? For example, a bowling ball bouncing over a wooden floor board. Can I swap the initial clean texture to something that shows damaged, cracked wood after the ball leaves that position?

You can flex a textured surface but it might stretch the textures if they are very distinct and the deformation is huge

7:39 Did you mean to change the "Rigidity" or "Deform Resistance" here? I only ask because you said Rigidity every time you mentioned it, but changed the Deform Resistance.
