This was so helpful! ive been using canvas for a while now, and Im far from being an expert! but that was very helpful to know that you can actually hightlight all of the element and move it around the page, instead of one thing at a time. Also, when you're creating the pdf fillable part, is there an option to create multiple copies of the same pages? and would the format that you created in the first page be duplicated to the next without having to highlight and reformat again? or do you have to do all that again for every page you add?

Is there a way we can get rid of the blue ghost layer where the interactive objects are placed from the final PDF? I am creating an interactive Planner and feel like it's pointless to choose a background color for the text boxes since in the final PDF, it will just be masked by the blue ghost layer.

Hi there, I just figured out a solution for you! The Last button on the left dashboard under where you download the completed PDF on PDFescape. If you click on that button before adding your textboxes, they won't have a background color. :)

Once you've exported it into a PDF, and make it interactive, it's completely outside of Canva so your client will not need Canva to fill it in.

This was a great tutorial. I created a phone log with a space for people to put their own business name. It works but I can't alter the size of the text or centre it. Does it only work with the paid Adobe Acrobat?

Thanks for teaching me how to make a fillable form on Canva. Could you teach us how to take this same design and turn it into a black and white printable version so that clients who want to print it out manually don't waste ink on printing the pretty background colours. It doesn't wrap the entire word so I may have one or two letters to a word on one line and another few letters of the same word on the next line. It seems to me after the pdf form is completed, the user can save the document and print it. The data in the fields is not collected; it's just a fillable pdf. That's my take-away.
