It looks beautiful - the gold accent line really makes it 'pop'. I love how frugal you are too, reusing cups etc, saves money! Great tip with the modelling dough. Have you tried brushing on liquid latex on the sides and underneath the coaster? It should stop resin drips as the latex then peels off - taking the resin with it x

I love your work! Just a question. Do you sell your alcohol ink and resin products to the public and are you not worried about the fact that it looses colour after a couple of weeks? Or how do you avoid it? I would love to do large painting but are very scared about customers returning my product due to this fact. Would love a reply from you thanks

None of mine have faded but you need to seal all art work varnish, i use a spray gloss varnish, krylon archival is good.

Wonderful project 👍❤️ I did have a question..when you spread the ink and left some portion empty - wouldn't that area make the coaster disproportionate in height..? Or is the ink so thin that inspire of leaving some areas empty, the base (coaster, in this case) remains even levelled. ? Never tried this art form hence asking. Again - beautiful project...my fave colour - greens and the combination is amazing

Kinnari, I use3 light coats of Kamar Varnish on top of my inks (once they are dry, usually next day) before doing my resin top coat.

@@tinavemb great advice Tina. Always wait a day for the varnish to dry before resining. However, for these coasters i did not varnish the inks before adding a resin topcoat, the resin i used was Craft Resin.

I love this video. When using alcohol inks, are you able to use resin directly over it without it reactivating the alcohol to muddy up the inks? I've heard that you should seal the ink first, then use resin.

Thanks, with resin I prefer a fine grit like a 180 or 240, any less, and it will leave scratch marks and I use sand paper for wood or plaster, both work a treat on resin :)

Those are so gorgeous so I have created some myself. However when I added the top coat my colours lifted. Do you maybe know why? I have let the inks dry for at least 24 hours even and I am using high quality resin and alcohol inks :(

U could have just used liquid latex around the sides instead of the clay to do the top coat
