My question is this, and I’m honestly curious. Why do so many creators pivot to “teaching” how to make money on social media if they were doing so well financially in the first place?
@MollyKeyser8 ай бұрын
I can only speak on my journey but it’s because I had been in the photography industry for 16 years so I was burned out on it and I was mainly teaching marketing anyways, just to photographers. I’ve always loved marketing and wanted to teach it. I can’t speak on why other creators choose to. I also didn’t pivot from social media to teaching. I started teaching and simply leveraged social media to reach more people to help.

It’s what the algorithm pushes… “how to…” teaching! They are mostly optimized. So, many copy and paste to say they’re not just “creators,” but “educators” also.

Lol it’s all to make money on Facebook. I don’t believe ANY of them it’s alll lies, nobody on this earth would be that stupid to do all this KZbin wrk if they are making over half mil or a over a mil per year. Lol so yea it’s all absolutely garbage , they make money ON KZbin, period thousands

From what I've seen, another reason is that they quite possibly can make even more doing it than from whatever they were doing before (and many will just keep doing whatever they were doing before and do both simultaneously)

Yay so glad to hear it! And yes you can mention something for sale in the description however I only ever mention my freebies and then sell via my email list as I find this converts better and builds more trust before asking for the sale.

Hi @MollyKeyser, First time on your channel, and found it very valuable. Can you answer this question: once your ebook is purchased by someone, how do you ensure that it will not be shared with others for free?
@MollyKeyser8 ай бұрын
There’s no way to keep people from sharing it. That said it’s never been a problem for me in the 16 years I’ve been a business owner. I focus on solving problems when they arise, not “what’s ifs” :)

Im not sure which way to go niché wise. Im torn between a few ideas lol

Well said! The thing with choosing a niche is you have to just choose and move forward knowing it will morph over time anyways. The business I have now started as teaching courses and has morphed into helping youtubers grow their channels and income online. Don't worry about picking the perfect thing, just focus on getting started and moving forward.

@@MollyKeyser my ideas are kinda polarizing, I think anyways Im a licensed Insurance Agent (home and auto) so im naturally leaning towards that, so so many clients dont fully understand their own policies and alot of quotes I do, I spend alot of time educating each potential customer whether I think its going to go anywhere or not (because Ive been on the bad side of some shady companies as a customer, and now that im an agent theyre are things I could have asked to maybe have avoided that situation. Or now that im on the otherside, if I knew then what I know now I might've been able to steer clear of it. i thought I understood insurance atleast enough as a consumer... I had no idea until I got into it how much I didnt know to ask. And if you dont know, how can you ask? My other idea is adhd in corporate (Professional ADHD?). Between trying to keep up and Im trying to get accommodation at work right now which is very very challenging, and it being an "invisible" disability (I hate to use that word but) as soon as my manager knew, instant different treatment.... Not in a good way. And then theres the other side of the v coin; people who think im using it as an excuse (managers) and they dont have it so they dont realize it is a huge disadvantage. So id like to try to level the playing field

That may be true for some educators but my story is different and I share it in the beginning of the video. I built a successful photo studio and other photographers wanted to learn how I did it so I taught through courses and ebooks. I didn’t teach others ebooks and courses until I had already made over $8M with it.
