Great tutorial. I thoroughly enjoyed watching. No longer am I signing up for the local art society classes. Learnt more in 12 minutes than I have from all those classes. Excellent instructor.

New to pastels, most tips I've seen up to now say work dark to light but you work the other way.

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't used pastels before, but use acrylics where you normally paint dark to light. Is it common with pastels to go from light to dark?
