This worked first try, however for laps 1 and two (special track: Dry Dry Ruins) it sounds like both the normal and final lap music are playing on top of each other so eventually one is really far ahead of the other. However it goes back to normal on the final lap

It sounds like you accidently put your normal file and final file in the BRSTM builder together. Make sure you used your left normal and right normal file.

There's a tool called "Final Lap Stream Maker" that makes the speed up process easier and perfect, but you'll have make the brstm first, and then open the app and drop the brstm file on the tool's window, and that's it.

A lot of people are commenting about when opening an mp3 file in audacity it just turns into a short loud garbled noise, this happened to me too and to fix it i uninstalled audacity and any folder on my pc that was related to it, then reinstalled the latest version of audacity. After opening audacity again and opening an mp3, it said that it couldnt recognise the file. if this happens to you, if you search up "Installing FFmpeg for Windows audacity" and you should find an exe file that will help. Hope this helps someone!

This video was very helpful, thank you. I was able to replace most of the tracks I wanted fairly simply. But I ran into some trouble with the listed tracks in particular. I tried to follow your instructions step by step but for so reason the file doesn't appear in the out folder after clicking Build. Any idea what's going on? Also, another minor question, but is it also possible to replace battle course themes? I know some custom tracks use those themes and was wondering if replacing them would require the same or a different process as shown in the video.

It’s a little bit more complicated to change that music, you have to locate the file in your my stuff called ‘revo_kart.brsar’. This file contains all the sound effects in the game plus some of the menu music including the music you wanna change. You have to find that music then right click, press replace and select the brstm you made.

This was a really good video! I gotta bit of a problem tho. I have a track that I wanna mod in, but I'm having issues looping it the way I want it to. For example I have a track that lasts for 3:00. The track will obviously start at 0:00, but when the track hits 3:00 I don't want it to loop back at 0:00, I want it to start looping at 0:15. other words I want the track to play as normal, but I want the loop to start at 0:15 when the track hits 3:00, not at the very beginning, and that's what I'm having trouble with. Is there a way to do that in audacity?

To my knowledge, there is no way to do this. But it shouldnt be a problem since the first 2 laps of most tracks dont take a whole three minutes and therefore you wouldnt really need it to loop to be smooth since your very rarely going to hear it. But what I would do make the final lap music (sped up version) start at 0:15!

Idk but if it's for the 1st/2nd-5th/6th-12th theme then you need to make one audio for the intro and another one for the actual music or else it will loop with the intro

I figured out what was wrong so that you can tell people if they have the same issue. The name I gave my output file had a space in it. When I gave a name with no spaces, it worked. Thank you for getting back to me though. This video was very helpful!

Trying to do Toad's Factory. Final lap worked just fine. When I do the exact same thing for the normal files, the batch is created but when I hit build, it only opens for about 0.1 seconds and the brstm it makes is only 1KB file size instead of about 9,000KB that the final lap brstm ended up being... Any ideas? Update: I re-exported my wav files from audacity and tried again and it worked... I must have done something wrong the first time

I would suggest trying to shorten the song since you will never need the full 4 mins for a race and it could be making the file size too large for ctgp to read. Let me know if that solves it!

Same thing happened to me. Take the file and put it into CloudConvert, it’ll convert the downloaded file into a real mp3. On that note, just don’t trust the site shown in this video, it’s too risky and sketchy to be used for multiple songs.

I think it’s possible to make an 8-10 min brstm but the only issue will be that the file size will be very big which can cause problems if you have brstm for every track on a small storage sd card.

When I tried to open the Multi BRSTM builder with GUI tool a second time, it didn’t work. I still have to do the final lap songs, and I’m basically fucked. It just crashes the minute that the application starts. Since I’m doing Moonview Highway, I need the final lap tracks, and I can’t do it because the program refuses to open. Any advice? Yes you sadly cannot use separate music for both of those tracks since in the game, they both use the same song.

You're gonna need brawlbox to convert the file to a brstm unless the game can't read it.

Yes you can just remove the custom music from your My Stuff folder and it will go back to the original music. There is also an option on CTGP settings to turn the My Stuff folder on/off. If you turn it off, the game will use the original music even if you have custom music in your My Stuff.
