This topic is so amazing. God bless you for doing this. Not all, but so many churches are guilty of using the concept of forgiveness, NOT because they care about you restoring a biblical relationship with God, but because it makes things easy for them. It makes them look spiritual and above you to ignore your pain while elevating themselves by telling you to forgive. This topic is so neglected. It takes all the effort in the world to stand with you and validate you. It takes enormous effort to confront the person who traumatized the victim and tell them to repent and fix what they did. They know it will make them a target of the traumatizer as well. So they take the cowardly rout and use the concept of forgiveness as a con to give themselves an easy life at the expense of the victims well being. Dietrich Bonhoeffer calls it cheap grace. Please do more on this topic. Awesome job.
