im most happy WHILE creating...for me its not about the finished work...its about the processes. relaxation, meditation , calming. its the experience i love the most.

Love your intuitive painting…you are so right about painting for yourself and not worrying about making a perfect painting to sell or show! Some of the most beautiful paintings come out this way! Thanks for sharing!

i just watched a reverse of this in the art materials it used (watercolour first, pencil last) and the difference in final piece is so good. the different order of materials makes it so much fun. im doing it both ways in my art journal rn (coloured pencils make it more vibrant and watercolour makes it more muted and both look so good).

Hi Rod…. I was wandering around on KZbin looking for something (I don’t remember what now) and found this video and you. I loved watching you do this especially that bloom that traveled up the middle of the page. Thanks for sharing this work that may never be seen. 😉

Thank you for sharing your process. I appreciate your comments on doing your art for the sake of just being creative and not for the purposes of selling it or even showing it. That lifts alot of the expectations and allows the joy to step in. I'm new to your channel and look forward to seeing more.

This is the first video of yours that I have seen. The process was fascinating to watch and I really enjoyed your narrative. Being an abstractionist, most of my art is intuitive, although I have not attempted anything of that size. I'm curious now as to what might appear in such an expansive space. Thank you for inspiring me. Your artwork is wonderfully appealing, and about possibilities and potential.

Hiya Rod, i am really loving this trchnique. I must give it a go myself. Im at a road block with my art at the moment, cant seem to get with it. I dont know, think its just me somehow. But im loving the colours used, the shapes added, just loving everything about it, especially with it looking,mto me anyway, like a rainy but colourful day on one of UKs wet streets. Think thsts why i love it so much, reminds me of where i was brought up. So glad i found you and i shall really look forward to seeing more of your art. What a blessing you are!

Thank you very much for such a touching comment. I am truly touched by this. I have experienced artist block many times in my life. They have all come to an end after some time. I guess I am at one right now. I have had many shows in my life, however successful other people always said they were I have never had any financial success. Somehow I always got back to creating. I think it is a cycle for all artist to go through. One day you will just pick the paint and brushes back up and away you will go! I am sure of it. If there is any questions you may ever have please feel free to ask. I love to help others with their artistic endeavors. I do hope you have a wonderful day.

This is a great demonstration! Do you use this method constantly to do shape exploration? Because the abstraction does prompt a lot of things.
@WatercolourQuickandEasy4 жыл бұрын
Yiming Wu This is a method that I use most of the time. I allow each layer to inform the next layer. In other words, I look deeply at what was previously created and use that as my guide for what is yet to come. Thanks for having a look at my work!
