Hello there!
During a sampling session I experimented a little with LFOs and single samples on the Octatrack, finding again why I love this machine.
In this video I will show you a simple way to breathe new life in your samples. By the end of it I will get some really interesting soundscapes , perfect for live performances.
I will use the Model1 Mixer and Oto Boum to get even more textures out of the Octa.

Love the last two iterations of it. First Blade Runnerish one and then the last that seems to came straight from "Event Horizon" movie. Great stuff as usual and one more video that makes me think to never ever sell the Octatrack. It's just so straightforward and fun to mangle pristine audio into some weirdness that you can spend a whole life with just it and some random samples.

Even though I am fairly new to it myself, I can say that the Octatrack is singular in the world of sampling and processing. The sequencer is what sets Elektron apart. Akai makes some stuff and so does Boss/Roland. Go with the one that calls out to you, then work with it, read the manual and online posts.

I've also found it helpful to hang around the shops where the sell this stuff on a Saturday morning -- that way you may meet people who will assist and inspire you to persist!

I see the octa and oto as a single thing at this point. I really thing that octa needs something to push the sound, oto is the best thing so far.
