Omg, this is the most realistic "french makeup video" I've ever seen. I put literally so much effort in trying to look "effortlessly chic" and blablabla, like, buffing lipstick and everything for few minutes straight. 16:30 EXACTLY! I hung out at the beach with new Parisian friends who I met recently. They be sashayin around with really toned abs and backs. When I asked them what their workout / diet tips are, they say, "it's genetics bah we never really work out and eat whatever." GURL, you do not get SUCH TONING without working out! It's toxic, we're now in 2021... The cool girl trope who "never does anything" but magically is blessed with all the good things is so last decade. It's propagating the notion of unattainable feminine ideal that the society drills onto our brains. People have to know that if you want something good, you have to WORK towards it. Do not feel bad if you seem to do the same as others but do not have the same results. Do you and avoid comparing yourself to others. Trust me, these types of women who I've mentioned earlier are fighting their own internal battles but keeps it to themselves. Perhaps that's what they've been brought up to as "ideal". Be true to yourself!!! x

It's funny because where I come from (Norway) woman are proud to say that we work out. It is almost like a status symbol, that means you have time and energy (and discipline) to take care of yourself. We also go through the city on our way to the gym in our work out clothes, and I know that's not how it is in Paris or many other places in Europe.

I think that "parisien women" they go to aishetic or dermatologist more often but secretly than an average European women and they are exercising but secretly too ! , so they don't need very much of make up and they are saying: oh! I have the genetics, or: oh! I work so much or : oh! my children are so energetics that I have no time for me and !! Well that's my opinion about that.

I have been to Paris so many times I cannot count , what I saw that women never look done , if you see a woman done she is a foreigner probably 🤗and Parisian woman always add some difference with their accessories , could be a great shoe , an oversized necklace , a great scarf etc . and also I love their rock-chic look 👌🏻

i love your videos--so informative, sunny, and classy! The hand thing--that's how we all posed for our high school yearbook photos here in the US... My image of the Parisian woman is someone who effortlessly blends high fashion with basics. The Parisian wears jeans and a white t-shirt with an Hermes scarf thrown over her shoulder. She wears a simple cotton dress with leather thong sandals and red lipstick. Her hair is in a messy bun, she's wearing a Chanel suit, and she's pumping gas into her car. I would say it's the confidence to live life and not care what other people think? Which is what we should all be doing, whether we're French or American or Latvian or Chinese or South African or...whatever!

Nice tutorials and videos! Could you please do a makeup tutorial for ladies going 40, especially with some tricks for those multiple under eyes wrinkles (expression ones)? I have hard times finding the right concelear that matches my foundation from Estée Lauder double wear 2C3 & 3C1 for the summer, that stays in without creasing horribly. I struggle to find the right shades for Armani foundations and nowadays with the pandemic you cannot try them in stores that much.

Even if a foundation says its cruelty free doesn't mean it is. It's pointless imo to go searching hard for a foundation or item that may or may not be "cruelty free."

Hi Andrea, my idea of the Parisian woman is a person who is always put together. They are slender and dress with class. They dont wear leggings and sneakers everywhere like a lot of American women do. Loved this video and France! My impression of Europeans but especially the French is that they are raised in a culture of how to dress and do make up/skin care/hair care and eat to be healthy. Therefore, it comes second nature even for men. Dressing with simplicity but always the right combination of colors, clothing pieces, etc. Simplicity is not easy because if one thing is off it is very obvious. Hats off to the French. After all the French government does subsidize the French fashion industry and it is a big part of their economy. Makes sense.

QUESTION: Hello you are so talented. I have deep set eyes also with naturally long eyelashes and when I wears mascara within an hour or so I have stripes on my brow bone I’m constantly fighting this. If I wear waterproof it’s not so bad. How do you prevent this?

Have you tried combing through your lashes with hairspray using a spoolie? Hairspray has alcohol and keeps brows in place so it might keep your mascara in place.
