Steve is a legend! So much fun seeing the creative and mechanical process that goes into each of these shots. What was the big take away for you?
@joelelhadj69934 жыл бұрын
Indy Mogul this was awesome, the big take away for me is that there’s so much to it that if I ever need to make something cool like that, I’ll definitely hire someone, this guy is so cool because he is an expert in his relatively focused field, it’s probably the key...Focus on one field of expertise and excel, stop trying to do everything.
@adenikeomogenaija4 жыл бұрын
He is indeed very brilliant. My take away is "let your other skill come in play as you work".

Great vid! Glad it's super cheap to get started! I just need to head to Home Depot to pick up a cheap air compressor, a 3D printer, a $250,000 robot arm, and a $150,000 Phantom camera. I'll need to make a quick stop at my father's first to get a small loan of 1 million dollars. On a serious note, there are some great ideas in here that can be recreated by a clever poor man.

So quick question : if you shoot at 1000 fps do you still respect the 180° shutter rule? If shutter is at 1/2000 with an f8 aperture, I much better understand the 4 10k behind that thing lol.
@indymogul4 жыл бұрын
That would theoretically be true! Although if your camera shoots at 1000 fps, chances are you would be dealing with shutter angle primarily

This is amazing and mind blowing, but i can't wrap my mind on why a company would be ok with the extremely high cost of these productions when the same result can be obtained with CGI probably for much less. The Jack shot could be made so easily in cgi and it would look identical. Considering that they had a rough initial idea, why they decided to do it with someone that has to build that kind of thing (and price it in the quote) instead of going with a CGI agency? I know that this is more authentic and I'm happy Steve can make it work, but usually big corporations doesn't give a damn about that and are more than happy to save a good amount of money. I'm genuinely curious on how can you market something to corporation that will even end up costing them more and still close the deal.

Many product cinematographers tell us that there's just textural quality to shooting it practically that would take VFX artists much more time and money to produce.

WOW. Looks like magic show to me. Regret in our part of the world ( Saudi Arabia ) They are reluctantly willing to pay only SR 5/= per final shot ( US 1-1/2 .) All new generation are super duper professional photographer with their cell phone and the real value of photography is dead. BHOOOOM.
