On the beer shot, another way to get the line of bubbles is to make a small etch in the bottom of the glass container. Look at a Sam Adams glass sometime. You'll see an etched circle at the center of the bottom of the glass, creating a collection point for the CO2, and a plume of bubbles coming right up the center of the beverage.

These practical application vids are just fantastic. Even when I don’t have the budget to compete with the upper level gear etc., you’re still revealing the concepts and thought processes behind the setups and decisions. I’m able to scale down a concept and either offer value to a client or simply learn by reproducing with what I can get m hands on. Way to go!

I already praised your cinematography videos many time in the comments section. But I wanted to say how nice it is to insert really well chosen excerpts of illustrative videos for concept like pneumatic machine or whatever. I'm sure it takes some times to find and edit them, and it add a lot of value to yours videos. Especially when specific technical aspects are discussed. Anyway,

I love your videos. Learn so much. Maybe for the next remote one, you can cover editing. Like not how to use PP or FCP, but techniques on editing different close ups, medium, wide shots etc. like how to choose what shots to use...what makes a good or bad one. Basically, the art of editing. TIA!

Any word on when the Aputure 600D is supposed to be coming out? I know covid-19 has delayed things for Aputure a bunch. I've been waiting to pull the trigger on the 600D since last September's announcement, but I may have to go with Nanlite's Forza 500 since it is available now and the final version of 600D hasn't even been released yet.

depends on the shot and set. either they are hanging with wires to be removed in post or a rod mounted from below/under/behind/side, whatever side is the least obstructive to the shot and cleaned up in post

@@riparianstudios I don't think you can compare the two, this show is way more personal, with one-on-one interviews focused on the guest and their work, whereas on the news it's oftentimes a small interview within a story.
