I really really want one of these to project onto my walls and be immersed into some crazy assed back room voodoo lounge Middlesborough empire type Friday night while I am jamming away. Not for anyone else.... but just for me. Probably the only module that exists that really is unique to the core :)

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! The fact that I can dedicate a MIDI channel to send notes and CC data to trigger and control the visuals with this thing is seriously blowing my mind rn. I can just designate a track on my master sequencer for visuals and I'm good to go! Maybe add in some envelopes and clocked LFOs too 😀

That's pretty much exactly the setup I usually have going. I use a webcam pointed at my TV for an extra layer of feedback (much crazier, really unlocks this thing's potential if you use it properly), then I have the EoC of the function generator slowly cycling through oscillator shapes on the Hypno, and the main output of the FG (with heavy attenuation to keep it very subtle) modulating the Hypno's feedback, and all internal modulation turned off. I try to set it so that right as all the feedback resolves into a stable pattern, the shape shifts again and throws things back into chaos. The thing pairs excellently with a 0coast but I certainly wish I had a few more attenuators.

@SleepyCircuits
@SleepyCircuits Жыл бұрын
@@SynthAddict Thanks bud, all good just thought id chime in. TBH I dont actually charge a markup for the Pis just the actual Hypno boards to account for the many years of programming, design (and education) this thing required to make. BTW If you have a compatible Pi already theres also a No-Pi version we offer. FYI Retailers are out of stock because we stopped selling with them for the time being. This was due to the music homies there (understandably) not really being able to help customers so much with the video realm. I opted to take the cut they would take and invest it into hiring a dedicated support person since I would much rather sell less of them but make sure people have a good experience with the device/brand. This move has also allowed us to keep our price point the same through these last couple of years of intense inflation and rising import taxes. There are about 50 pre-built Hypnos in stock as of writing and around 150 more being built in the following weeks as we get assembling!

Damn I started my video synth setup with a Hypno and if you thought Eurorack audio was expensive get ready to spend serious time considering if it is worth it to spend $2000 on an out of production LZX module and then get angry your reverb offer fell through because someone paid even more for it. Additionally, enjoy the spaghetti of converter boxes you will need to get shit in and out, and the literal magic hell that is CVBS sync and figuring out why the fuck it works or does not work based upon the moon cycles or the density of free electrons in the atmosphere. Hypno is cool though, it’s a good jumping off point.
