How to create water/lake/ocean for MAYA with Arnold render compatibility!

Hello! Arriving late on this. Love your tutorial! Definitely going to use this in the future. However, I'd like to know, is there a way to loop the animation? Have the water start in a place and end exactly the same?

How do you export this? I am trying to put it into a Unity project, but when I export to an FBX file, the noise1 is not able to be exported and when I try to Convert to Texture file, like the error message suggests, the water animation completely stops.

hi, jeku, i have an issue with the speed, even after i change it to "=frame/50" which should be 0.02, but it seemed locked to 14.4 (pinkish color bar in the time), seem to follow the animation frame speed ?

Hei Jeku, your tutorial is awesome! However, when I render, the waves don't move (static) although they do in the viewport. I'm rendering with CPU. I animated Time attribute too. Do you have any solutions for that?

Hey Jeku, your tutorial is very nice and works for me. however, I can only render it in arnold using my CPU. when using my GPU I get a flat, not moving, surface. do you have a solution for that?

I haven't encountered that problem using GPU renderring. Maybe your render settings? anyway will try to do this again with GPU rendering, I might encounter your problem and will try to fix it. Thank you for your support!

Is there a reason why you specifically used Noise instead of the Maya Water Procedural? I've found that the water procedural works better when factoring in wind speed as well as for creating ripples.

@@jekuproduction It is actually compatible, I've used it frequently. It's built in, same as the noise you used in the tutorial. Check it out some time and tell me what you think. I did try the same method as you did and it works quite well. I do think I prefer the water though, it has more options.
