I made these booties for my new born grandson. They are very very cute. I worked both of them in the same time and I think it is easier that way. So, I did row 1 on both, row 2 on both and so on. I paused your video to have time to finish every row on each one, but at the end....I was done with both and that was wonderful. Thank you so much for your videos. Lots of us don't know how to read pattern, so your videos help and encourage us to accomplish more every time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been crocheting for years but have never found a bootie pattern that was actually small enough to fit a newborn. They are sometimes too complicated to try and reduce size. This was a great tutorial and I made a perfect size bootie that will fit our grandbaby due soon. I'm so excited!

@Da1AnOnly18 I would say to make the bootie until you get to the foor /sole part and then measure the sole to see if it would fit , if it needs to be just a bit bigger you could try to use a larger hook. If it need to be alot bigger you could add initial chains to the starting chan and then add them to the sole .. Hope that helps you :)

LOL my first bootie I made..using your video.Like you said count your stitches or have a big head ache in the end is sooooooooooo true! ONE cuff was 8&9 inches in the beginning..My other side of cuff,first cuff crocheted had 10-11 stitches LOL So The 8-9 stiches I had to go back and make 10-11 to be even. Hopefully when we finally conceive our child will have long ,big feet! HAHAHA

I love the baby boots adorable. The pattern is most simple fpdc are easily done for me but bpdc are a bit difficult but will come about with practice. I'm going to print pattern as soon as I can get more ink for laser jet. I like the detailed pictures in the pattern and the fact their are no decreases such as sc2tog or hdc3tog etc... those are a nightmare and I try to avoid them when possible. Increases can handle straight off.one question I'm going to be using fingering weight yarn 3 and g 4mm hook that be fine? I'll get pattern soon I know if it's differs the size will but that's ok. One last thing a bit of an distraction with referring to pattern then project repeated times I know your trying to teach reading a pattern but maybe explain patterns first off and talk while working trough your still an excellent teacher and you always give clear instructions please don't think this as being too critical I continue to learn something new all the time. Sorry so long winded. Good day to and I'm gonna get started with these babe boots
@damiansanderfield974112 жыл бұрын
FYI- I made mine a bit bigger at the end by adding a line of single crochet to the back side, all the way from top to top. It did change the appearance a bit, but not enought to be noticeable. This effectively adds a double crochet length to the final product.

I'm not sure how many you would have to chain to change the size to 9month. You could try the same pattern with 10ply (worsted weight) and see what size it comes out to.
