I'm a complete novice, I wanted to make a heart pillow for someone for their birthday, and tried following other patterns to no avail. Your tutorial was perfect! I was able to follow it all the way through (even with my giant yarn and N hook that I bought for the hard tutorial) and just made a perfect gift that I'm so proud of! definitely going to keep crocheting now

I am still fairly new at crocheting but I am a huge fan of your tutorials and patterns. Your so amazing at explanations and teaching. I've spent I don't even know how long trying to learn to crochet but thx to you you made it easier. I have a question for you though. I watched other tutorials on hdc2tog and some are y/o insert in st/pull up loop/y/o again / insert into next st/ & y/o one last time & pull through all 5 loops! I ended up doing it your way. Maybe the others are doing it based on their country or something idk. But anyways I hope you don't mind but I ended up altering your pattern a bit. I wanted to crochet a much bigger heart pillow so I just continued until my bottom was the size I liked I made it to 42/43 sts across & then started my top of the heart. And kept going until I had 5 sts left. It looks awesome! Thank you for sharing I used barnet blanket brights raspberry ribbon. Thanks
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jessica, thank you so much for watching! There are a couple of ways to do a hdc2tog, it depends on the look you're going for. The way we do it results in a slightly less bulky stitch. If bulk is wanted (or it doesn't really matter), then using the other method is fine :)

Hi Danie, I crocheted that pillow half in red and have in brown, then I crocheted separate "drips" and sewed them down later :)
@PeggyV694 жыл бұрын
Love the heart & your cape. I would love to know if the “dripping “ heart was stitched with the 2 colors or is the dripping area sewn on top of the solid heart to give it dimension like chocolate dripping over it?

I love this heart pillow stitch I was wondering if someone were to make a bigger heart with using regular yarn like this how many rows and side stitches would we use??? I am making my first pillow for her and she is seven
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi! You might find it much easier to upsize using 2 strands held together and a larger hook (like a 6.5 mm or a 7.00 mm) that way you don't have to try and adjust the whole pattern :)
@donnamilam92272 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if there would be something different that you would have to do in order to make a large heart pillow? Coould you please let me know. I made my first heart pillow and I love it and would like to try a bigger one so that is the reason for the strange question.
