@@marsfran55 I order it directly from Lion Brand on line. Sadly, it rarely goes on sale. Each skein is 3.5 oz and 186 yd. it usually costs $4.99: Sometimes Herrschners may sometimes sell it $1 cheaper. It’s a durable yarn- mercerized cotton, chain spun-I’ve made purses, dish cloths, small baskets, placemats w it. I’ve never made a wearable with it, but it might work as a cardigan. It’s a good yarn. I will make Fiber Flux’s headband with it. Hope you can try it 🤞🏻🍀

Could I use a cotton and polyester blend? I worry that it might be "scratchy" on the skin. What to you think? The yarn is pretty soft.

I have a skein of 3 weight cotton, could I use that instead. Just keep it the count of 6+1 and go to the same size?

Just keep the multiples of 6chains+ 6 chains (maybe another 6 chains) +1chain in your foundation chain. Happy hooking, Allison :)
