This is the EXACT video I needed. I'm literally about to crochet around fleece! Thank you!!

This is great. I have fleece to make blankets for my fur babies. I was just going to fold the edges over and sew them with a sewing machine. This looks much better. Thank you.🐶🐶

Awesome tutorial. I loved that you went at a normal pace so it was easy to quickly see what needed to done. This is an excellent tutorial with clear easy to follow information and visuals. I am giving the link to all our charity volunteers. Thanks so much!

Followed the first roung, but going too fast, can't see where you are putting the crochet hook for the second round, I am a complete beginner!
@melaniesmith131310 ай бұрын
Looks like she is doing a single crochet in each stitch. The top of the stitches look like a V. She does go very fast, not good for teaching beginners. Luckily, there are others on KZbin who specialize in teaching beginners. After you master those, you can come back to this.

Very good video but I’m new to crocheting and when you were doing the second row, it was too fast for me. Maybe it’s me. But I do like the rounded corners better than some of the other videos I’ve seen.

Hey thank you for the video, this was awesome! I was wondering to do the crocheted toppers on dishtowels, could you use that blade to make holes across the dishtowel? I have been just punching the darning needle through to make my holes. Thank you :)
@gailrussell91042 жыл бұрын
Dishtowels will ravel if you cut the threads. You can use a large needle and blanket stitch then crochet later.
@debbittybears8 жыл бұрын
where'd you get the cute hook? (thanks to this video I bought a rotary cutter, a skip cutter, and the fleece, AND the mat...lol

Thank you for showing us how to do this! One question... my shell row won’t lay completely flat, it kind of looks like a ruffle. I’m crocheting loosely and adding a chain after each shell and slip stitch to try and correct this. Would you have any other tips to help this issue? Thanks!
@courtneyshanahan89085 ай бұрын
So pretty. Wish was slower on the shell part so could see what you’re doing

I just purchased Fiskars perforating blade and find it is not cutting through either fleece or fabric. Did you find the same issue?
@jilllovesbeegees704 жыл бұрын
Maybe I missed it but how come you don’t use the skip stitch blade tool instead recommend the Fiskar‘s one to use with the skip stitch blade?

How do you secure in the yarn? When you first begin, after pulling it through? And also when starting a new color?

I had trouble doing my 2nd row. I couldn't get my hook into my chains and I can't tell from the video if she's going into the chain stitch or underneath??

I had the same question. She says every stitch but does that mean in the chains between the SC also? I couldn't tell by watching.

When u start the second row, are you going into the original holes? I couldn’t tell cause you crochet at the speed of sound. Lol

She is not going into the holes on the 2nd row. She goes into the first row, as you would do with a crocheted piece

You can go to settings and change the playback speed, it helps a lot.

Where did you purchase your crochet hooks with the nice little handle? I'm a beginner and this looks easy enough. Definitely will try. But first I have to get the Skip Stitch Blade.
@anitamelton2595 жыл бұрын
I want to know if you can do two layers together? Or do I cut them separately and the holes will line up to crochet?
@kathytoppe43925 жыл бұрын
You can do two layers together. I just did a large blanket with two layers. Worked great.

You are looking for the Fiskars perforating blade at Walmart or Amazon. I just ordered mine from here: www.amazon.com/Fiskars-193610-1001-Perforating-Rotary-Replacement/dp/B06Y4HVRHW/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=perforating+blade&qid=1559001780&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011%2Cp_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&s=gateway&sr=8-3

I tried this, went to the storw and bought all the tools, and the blade was difficult to find and finally when i started to cut, it only made visible holes on one side only, the other side doesnt, the blade doesnt make holes ☹ I should have never tried this.....

I used a see thru quilt ruler and a soluble fabric pen to mark 1/2" places for holes.Then I used an awl to punch the holes.

if you click on the little gear on the bottom right of the video, you can adjust the speed to .25x, which is super slow =)

For this tutorial you need to know the basic stitches: chain, single crochet and double crochet. Learn those by heart, then come back here to learn how to do this border.

For a beginner wanting to learn how to do this, you go too fast!
@LITTLEAIKENFAN5 жыл бұрын
Way to fast, your head was in the way, doing a corner was to fast. Yes I know one can slow down video but we shouldn’t have to. Couldn’t see the very beginning of cutting because your head covered what you were doing. Do you start cutting right at the edge or how far in?
