Round 1: SLIPKNOT, Ch 3, 10 Hdc into 1st Ch, Sl st Round 2: Ch 2, work 2 HDC in each st, sl st (20 sts) Round 3: Ch 2, 1 Hdc in the first stitch, 2 Hdc in the next stitch* (*= repeat), sl st (30 sts) Round 4: 5 Dcs in first stitch, sl st, 1 sc in next 2 sts, sl st, 5DCs in the next st, sl st, sc in rest of the stitches, inivisible join Invisible: go back and forth with your remaining yarn, then leave off ends normally. How can I size up? My yarn is too thin I think small so my coaster is tiny so far; I stopped before making the eyes when i realized

To size up, after round three do 1hdc in first two stiches and the third one do two hdc and repeat, if it's still small in the next round do 1hdc in first 3 stiches and in the fourth do 2hdc and repeat

Im confused which stitch did you slip stitch into on round one? The second or third chain or the first hdc? Also my hole in the first chain is pretty big after the 10 hdc is that supposed to happen?

i use 4 medium yarn but it comes out way smaller 7 have more holes (not as tight) as this video, same thing with the bear video, anyone have the same issue?

You probably used a crochet hook that was too big for the yarn you were crocheting with, which is why you got holes.

Hi dona, the diameter for my coaster is 4 inches :) You can double up your yarn (use two strands of 5ply yarn) or do additional increase rounds to achieve a bigger coaster size.

Try to keep a looser tension on the last row! This usually helps stop the curling.

1HDC - do one half double crochet into the stitch 2HDC - do 2 half double crochets into the same stitch

It gets better! Just practice first with making a slip knot, learning how to hold your crochet hook and guide the yarn with your finger. Then learn how to do a chain, there are video examples of them. Once you’re comfortable with that, then learn some terms and come back to this video! You got this, I’m new too and felt the same way just a few days ago
