After making this pattern in a lovely gradient from grey to aubergine and offering it as a Christmas gift, I'm now making it again 😁 for myself this time, in a light cotton gradient from navy to sky blue (the type of thread made up of 4 fine almost sowing threads that gradually switch color and offer a smooth gradient), it's such an instant gratification project since the lacey pattern comes together quite quickly and I can listen to an audiobook in the background ☺️ thank you for such an easy yet elegant pattern ! Sending sunny hugs from Paris and good vibes for a lovely week ahead ! 💕

I purchased your written pattern on Etsy and I am making this shawl pattern with some very bright colorful yarn 🧶 for my 7 year old granddaughter she was at my house a few months ago and like playing dress up with some of my creations and she particularly like a shawl I made, that one is too delicate for a 7 year old so I’m making one with this pattern just for her with sport weight acrylic yarn so that it’s washable.

@@laurienelson2174 Hi Laurie, I just applaud you for encouraging the pretend and dress-up play of your granddaughter, and for making her a shawl! Sadly many modern kids are hooked up on gadgets and don't really know how to use their creativity and imagination. Also, thank you so much for purchasing my pattern and supporting me as an independent designer. Your support means a lot to me, especially in these challenging times. God bless you and your family! Olga Poltava it was a Lion brand cake yarn from Herrschner’s that were mill ends that they sold at a discount. Since it is for my granddaughter to just play dress up with I didn’t use a yarn that was expensive. I am making another that is purple for one of my daughters that will be full size and will post a photo when I’m done.

She is decreasing. By making 2 of the double crocheting into 1. So you make 1/2 of the 1st and do the 2nd 1/2. Three on hook And complete by going through the three.

Olga only never you are told us about the last row of the shawl. 😯
@OlgaPoltava4 жыл бұрын
Yes Georgina, you are absolutely correct, and that is intentional. As you can see I made the title "How to crochet a lacy triangle stitch for a shawl, and not "How to crochet a shawl". In the written pattern I included every single step, but in the video I only show the basic stitch. I make a living from my crochet work (I especially relay on it now as I lost my job outside of home due to shelter-in-place order), and I depend on people purchasing my patterns. These are difficult times for all of us, and not everyone can afford to purchase a pattern, I totally understand that. But on the other hand, just like everybody else, I need to pay bills, buy food and essentials, etc, and I am very grateful to the people who support me by purchasing my patterns. Thank you for understanding!

Hi Olga, I purchased your pattern for this exquisite shawl but I noticed a discrepancy in the written pattern vs your tutorial. In rows 4, 7 and 10 on the pattern you state to do a (dc ch2 dc) all in the 3rd chain of the next ch6.... but in the tutorial you’re doing (dc ch3 dc). So my question is... which should it be and will this make a difference in the overall look of the shawl? I just want it to come out right. 🙂 please help
@OlgaPoltava4 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosie, it won't make any significant difference in how it looks, but I just checked my finished shawl, and I made 3 chains, not 2. I will fix it in the written pattern. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! And thank you so much for purchasing my pattern!
