I just completed this cowl; I also worked the edging as follows: Join yarn over the end of any row. * Ch 5, picot (sl st) into 3rd ch from hook, ch 2, sl st over the stitch at the end of next row.* Repeat around on each side of work. Finish off; weave in ends. I followed the instructions as given in the video. I paused at each showing of the written instructions and copied them to my Word Doc. I didn't find any inaccuracies working these instructions as given. Just be careful on that foundation row when working into the initial chains. It can be easy to miscount. If you've worked with pineapples before, it helps! You learn the symmetry of the pattern and how to work the chains and loops to form the pineapple. If you haven't worked pineapples before, maybe find a simple tutorial on how to do so and practice this several times before moving forward with this cowl. It works up beautifully, once you get the hang of it.

I just don't understand whay when someone does a video they don't talk and tell what they are doing this why u don't need to read and then try to remember what it said

Patricia Chaar I totally agree, but she does make some of the most awesome things. But still, talking in the video does help with clarification on something, especially with a pattern a bit more advanced. Which reminds me, from the looks of this, this pattern doesn't look like it'd be easy. Intermediate, maybe, but not easy. But it is so beautiful.

I don't understand the point of a tutorial if you're not going to speak and explain each move.

+Mable Shortt Not everyone speaks the same language. She shows every single stich in the pattern plus puts up the written directions as she goes. Can't get clearer than that!
