Hi guys! I love this pattern and it works well as is but for those of you looking for symmetry I just have a really quick adjustment I made to make it even. Chain 270 plus 1 chain for starting row and once you hit row 5 chain 2 and go into the 3rd stitch from the hook. After this, continue chaining 3 and going into the 4th chain until the end where you do another chain 2 and work into the 3rd chain to finish thay row. Continue row 6 making sure you maintain the stitch count. Make sure you have 3 single crochets on each end of the scarf in those chain 2 spaces.

You can also chain any number of chains that's are divisible by 4 plus 1 for starting chain if you want to alter it that way 😇

Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I was looking for a crochet pattern/stitch that would suit a guy and I definitely think yours is the best one I've come across! I made it in a wine red colour for a guyfriend and he loved it! I made my scarf. I made it with a little softer yarn and only went to the third rows of single crochets. Love it. I put fringe on one end only to be different. worked out ok. NOt too long fringeeee. take care and thanks again. keep em commin!

I made this scarf for my husband for Christmas, I made the full 28 rows because he wanted a wide scarf. I also made a ribbed hat to go with the scarf. He loves both. He has worn them almost every day through the winter.
