Thank you for the pattern! Looking forward to making this. You didn't say, approximately how much yarn of each colour do you need?
@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
Ah! I’m so sorry! I don’t have exact measurements but I know I use less than 40 grams of each color 😊 I typically look for a ball of worsted weight yarn with at least 40g so I don’t have to play yarn chicken.

I'm confused! Row 10 on the head was a decrease down to 18 stitches in BLO. But when you add robe into BLO only you have 24 stitches. ???
@josiecawley9529 Жыл бұрын
I was wondering you are not using stitch marker, how do you remember if you’re on the next row?
@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
I don’t use stitch markers because I find them inconvenient and I can tell where the row start and end is without them-I’m so sorry!! I forgot that is confusing for folks so I’ll be sure to use a stitch marker in my future videos! ❤️

Is this the regular red heart yarn like you can get at Walmart? I’m new to this and I didn’t catch/understand what you said when describing the yarn.
@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
Yes, this is the typical yarn 😊 yarn thickness is measured on a scale of 1-7 with 1 being the thinnest and 7 being jumbo thick yarn. My favorite is size 4 yarn and you should see a yarn ball symbol with the number 4 on the yarn label. All yarn comes with a recommended crochet hook size-typically I recommend you go a hook size smaller-this makes your stitches closer together and keeps your stuffing from falling out. 👍hope this helps! ❤️

at 13:35 you say "yarn over, then pull through 2" but i think you meant to say pull through 3?

Are these for beginners? It’s so fast!
@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
I’d say a beginner crochet who knew the basic stitches could tackle this pattern. If you’re completely new to crochet, I recommend starting with a square dishcloth or scarf to get used to holding the crochet hook and forming stitches. 😊

hi! i’m making this too and i was stuck at this part also but i just figured out what the problem was! so you have to attach the yarn to round 9 not round 10. i hope this helped :) 12:35
@juaquina1962 Жыл бұрын
Hi sorry but I am confused 😕 in row 10 you go down to 18 single crochet after the decreases but then you start row 1 brown yarn with 24 😢 stitches can you please clarify it for me 21:25
@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
I got you! The brown yarn is joined into the front loops of round 9, which has 24 stitches. Round 10 is worked into the back loops of round 9 and while we are decreasing in round 10, there’s still 24 front loops of round 9. Hope that helps!
@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
Ah! Thank you for catching that. Attach the brown yarn to the first FL of R9 not R10. 🥰

@merrymakes Жыл бұрын
Thank you for letting me know I’m going too fast! I’ll keep that in mind for the next videos. 😊 if it helps, you can use the slow down/speed up setting on the video to play it at .75 or .5 speed.
