Hello, I use this stitch, and yes, I love this stitch. It sort of make a thermal effect I think, which makes for a very warm cover. In fact, my Daughter, 40 something lets not go all the way there... :)) still has this afghan that I made when she was 6 yrs old. What I really want to say to you is I like you and your work, and your help/tutorials, very much. They are always nice to listen to. And the most important part is that you follow through from the very beginning to the very end of your instructions/tutorials. It is nice that you do not just start after you have half the blanket done and teach the stitch showing you do only 5 to 10 stitches and then say..."now I think you've got it". No!, lots of ppl do not get it that fast. I have helped many that ask to clarify some ppl's tutorial...So!...GOOD JOB! ...and you are consistent...THANK YOU!

Is it possible to center your fingers/the work? Sometimes your hands go off camera, and it’s hard for me to follow, but I’m brand new to this! Really appreciate your patterns and the effort you put into tutorials!

Nice explanation; thanks! I love this stitch for baby blankets using a K hook and Caron Simply Soft #4 yarn. I add a row of SC to the chain before starting the first row of blanket stitch. To do that your beginning chain would be a multiple of 3 plus 1 (or was it plus 2?). Anyway, it doesn't seem to leave the holes in the first row of blanket stitches if you begin with a row of SC onto the beginning chain. (I also crochet into the back nubs of the chain stitches for the first row but that's just me.).

So, just to be clear, you said at the end, to just repeat 'that row' you mean row 2 is always on repeat or alternate between rows 1 and 2?

My pattern looks like a different texture to yours. Your piece seems flat but mine looks like clusters and are raised. I’m not sure if this is how it’s supposed to look but I am following you correctly there’s not much you can get wrong as it’s a simple pattern

First, thanks Mama in a Stitch for your video. I also bought your printed pattern for this stitch on Etsy. For other beginners like me who are having difficulty determining where to place your hook in what stitch, here's another good video to watch. It shows a close-up of the stitches and the placement of hook clearly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppawqZSfrcplp8U And for those whose work gets wider as they go, consider this tutorial that shows how to use stitch markers in the turning chain to help keep things on track: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWindJ1-nc6jl6s

I actually thought it was quite well done. You can slow the video down to make it easier to follow. Just use the three dots at the top right corner of the video to change speed. It helps.
