its coming out beautiful. Thank you :) Only thing I do different after frogging it 3 times cause I lost myself in the stitches is the 3 that you skip and go back to I put a stitch marker on them so I can find them easier. :)

I just tuck it inside with the pillow so it stays in place. Thank you so much!

How do you take out the pillow insert to be able to wash the crochet?
@pikusiekuk Жыл бұрын
thanks for the tutorial. Just wondering what the flap looks like when you finish? Do you sew the sides or just slip the flap in once your cushion is in? sorry, just trying to picture it as planning to make it as a Christmas present for a fussy friend :) thanks

I just slide the flap in, but if it is a gift, I would just insert the pillow and then see the edges together. I like to be able to change mine out, so the flap works for me.

how many chains should we do for 18" cushion cover?
@CrochetWithJulie2 жыл бұрын
Initial CH should be 93 rather than 73 (based on my math not on crocheting it, but it should work 🤓). After working around the chain, the rows should have 184 st.

How many chains do I need if the pillow is 45x45cm?
@CrochetWithJulie2 жыл бұрын
Based on my math, I would say 91 chains for Row 1, 180 for the subsequent rows. I haven't personally crocheted this pillow cover with these numbers, but it should be fairly close.

This is a very pretty design but I think a full row is missing after 5.30. From just one basket weave row it suddenly shows two rows. Does the design grow around the initial single crochet row? OR does it go back and forth away from the initial single crochet row? It is not very clear in the video. Also, the work is not displayed very clearly and it becomes difficult to understand. It is sad because I had started making this pattern but now I am confused. Please make another video, if possible.

There isn’t a row missing at 5:30. The SC st row, after the initial chain row, should create a large oval pattern that is worked in the round. At 5:30, you are seeing both sides of the oval, not two rows. So to answer you, this is worked in the round, not back and forth.

Yes, I was so confused

I agree with you. I was so confused and still am I think… not sure if I’m proceeding correctly. Working around the S is unclear… I wish there was. Video without cutting out any of the parts so one can see how the each part was achieved. I know for myself, I’m more of a visual learner and watching something being done is far more effect then having it explained… in hope I’m proceeding correctly 🤞

I wish I could see what the back of the pillow looks like. I’m completely confused by what the final product should look like. You had me until the last five minutes 😢
@CrochetWithJulie Жыл бұрын
The back should look like the front. The last steps are to create the “flap.” For the flap, insert the pillow insert, then tuck the flap around the insert and up between the insert and the throw pillow cover. This will conceal the pillow insert.
