I'm so happy to hear it! Yay! It'll turn out to be a beautiful set, I'm sure. Have a fun time finishing it up and hope you'll enjoy more of my tutorials coming up!

I made this using a mustard color bulky weight yarn. I hadn't even finished the first part before it started becoming wavy. Had to take the stitches out and start over, several times! I finally got it fixed and now I'm very happy. However, I'm attempting to use the same pattern with MEDIUM worsted weight and it's not turning out at all! I want to wear this turban while hiking in the winter with my dogs, as a sign that I am not a deer. (One place I went hiking allowed hunting until the end of February so our hike was cut short because neither dog nor human had orange on!)

Hi, sorry to hear that! It sounds like it might be a tension/gauge problem? I'm not quite sure... What size hook are you using with the medium weight yarn?
@lindahansen55 Жыл бұрын
@@SweetSofties 5.5... I know I have a tendency to crochet/ knit very tight stitches so have been working on it. I have a couple of adjustable tension rings for my projects that are both in use at the moment! I'll be getting additional ones.

I see! Going up a hook size would help with the tight tension. I haven't heard of adjustable tension rings before...that sounds really neat! Just searched it up. I didn't know these existed!

Hello and thank you for sharing your pattern with us all. How would you do cap for adult I’m making hats for my sister who has cancer.
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
Hi, you're welcome! It's so sweet of you to make this for your sister. If you follow the written pattern on my blog (www.sweetsofties.com/2021/04/any-size-turban.html), you'll see directions on how to size it for adults. My video shows it for a smaller size, but my written pattern will have more info. I include a Hat Sizing & Measurements Reference Chart too, which you can use to measure your piece against. Hope this helps!

Any idea why the crown would be very flat?
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
Hi! The crown starts out flat like a circle and will begin to take form as a hat when you start on the straight rounds (with no increases). Hope that helps!

Can you use homespun yarn for this pattern?
@SweetSofties Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can! The texture of the yarn will make it look different. Since homespun is bulkier, just make sure you measure out the crown/height of the hat as you work along to make sure it doesn't come out too big.

How do I change the size? Written pattern talks about it, but there are not instructions for each size? How many stitches are there for the different sizes?
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
Hi! The size depends on your gauge and the yarn/hook you use. The written pattern also has a link to my Hat Sizing & Measurements reference chart (www.sweetsofties.com/2020/06/hat-sizing-chart.html), which will tell you how large the different sizes are. For example, for an adult S/M size, the crown of the hat will be 7 inches. Please use the chart and have a ruler with you when measuring your work; that'll help with the sizing!

Hey, I have a problem. the width of the cap increases and not the height. I want a 50 sts child cap, but the one I have so far fits my head. i have counted all stitches and it fits in theory. any idea what I'm messing up? Thank you so much
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
Hi, the problem may be wtih your yarn weight, hook size, or tension. Some crocheters crochet tighter, and some looser, and a difference in the yarn weight/hook size can also affect the finished hat size. Since your hat is coming out larger than expected, you can go down a size (smaller than the 50 sts child cap). Hope this helps!

Hi! How many grams of yarn did you use?
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Sorry I missed seeing your comment. I didn't measure the amount, but this hat doesn't use that much yarn; it's comparable to regular beanies!

Do you sell your chochet items?

Hi! I'm sorry I don't sell the actual items, only the patterns. Which ones are you interested in? I can see if I can find someone in my Artisan community who makes these to sell!
