I've been crocheting for about 25 years and I have never needed to know how to bead until today. Thank you so much for making this video. Have fun and happy hooking!

After watching video after video, finally the one I needed! Thank you. The trick using the smaller hook is exactly what I needed! I'm going to try it now and hope it works as well for me. Thank you , thank you, thank youl

Thanks for the video! If you don't have a small enough hook, take a piece of thin wire, fold it in half around the yarn, and thread the ends of the wire through the bead. In place of wire, use anything thin and stiff. Cut a three inch sliver off some plastic packaging. I think even paper would work.

That's a great recommendation with the wire! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, this is pretty much how I pictured beading with crochet would be. I agree with you the small hook is easier. The other way can get messy, especially if you have a larger project.

Amazing... I knew the fine crochet hook method, but love the original one. Can't wait to try it. Thank you.

The advantage to pre-stringing the beads is that the garment (or item being made) is now two sided, i.e. there is no right side and wrong side. The bead is actually a part of the garment. By hooking it on it definitely becomes a top side and bottom side item. Good video. Wish I'd seen this some years ago when I started bead crocheting. Would have been most helpful! :)

Instead of a tiny hook, I also have taken a length of clear fishing line, folded it in half, pushed this half through the bead to grab the yarn and pull through.

Great idea! I’ll have to try that next time.
