I cannot figure out what the "stitch at the bottom" is. This is easy to do, or would be if I knew where to insert my hook each time.

I know this is an older video, but I wanted to say my sincere thanks of gratitude!! I’m 55 and my granny taught me to crochet at just 5 years old, by age 10, I was pretty good!! Thank you will try it . I crocheted for many years. But stopped a while ago. I made 3 afghans for Christmas gifts. It was a struggle because had done any in over 30 years. Now being older and having bad arthritis in my hands and shoulders and neck . It was a stressful. But I got them done. I got in genealogy and have done that for 48 yrs. Need to try to crochet again.
