I'm very aggressive against passive players, but you made me discover that I miss a big chunk of raising hands (the right part of the chart) from the button! I mean...63s??? Wow I need to work on it 😮 Still watching and I realize this video is gold ❤❤❤

This really is something I forget a lot and often, but such important advice. So true, you're basically printing money when BB player is usually check-folding flop

@@michaelswan8234 no way man. And he knows it as well as I do. He did in his time when very few people knew what they were doing playing poker. He is really smart and when the time he wasn't one of the best players and the level of poker was increasing rapidly came he moved to schooling, brilliant move. I guarantee you he couldn't stand a chance against the Adrian Mateos, Michael Addamos, Linus Loves, etc etc

Just the other day I flopped a set of 5's in position against a nit and I bet flop, turn, and river but they raised me on the river after runner runner diamonds and four cards to the flush. They only min raised me and I mucked it. They show they had ace of diamonds. These types of players you truly can read like a book.

I'm fairly new to poker. Well to learning how poker really works and in the last example I can't help to be annoyed by the fact to not know what he had while I have a decent / good hand. Gotta learn that. Even in this example I feel like he's bluffing because he's already so invested in the hand. Gotta learn alot tho. Did get to 2 final tables already this week. At +400€ in the first two weeks of grinding small stakes. Im also trash at cash games because of above mentioned annoyed feeling.

There are certain player types against whom calling that river jam is okay, but the weak passive player is not one of them. They have the nuts here like 60% of the time, and the remaining 40% of their range is weaker flushes. It's a losing call 100% of the time.

Genuine question why play tighter with ante and rake? Is it because people should be 3 betting more often? I would think with a rake (assuming a pot won preflop is not raked) and ante, which is dead money, you’d be more incentivized to raise a larger range of hands to take the pot down preflop.

I crush as long as its 6handed or less. As soon as the critical mass is reached and 4 see the flop, it becomes a wait for value grind - or does it?
@bookedroomer

Same the game also moves a lot slower because there’s 4 players to flop everytime so you barely see 30 hands per hour it gets boring

Can't abide how this slows down in tournaments. 4 or 5 players on a limp call strat. Jeesh, put me on a table with positionally/ range aware players where volume beats multiway slow play anyday.

Where did you get those BTN 80bb RFI ranges? GTO suggest tighter ranges...
@FragileEgo
@FragileEgo Жыл бұрын
Well, it's ranges for tournaments with ante and no rake. That matters a lot. Make sure you arent looking at a range for cash games that factors in a rake and has no ante as that will naturally force you to play tighter ranges.

Why not just check the river? Straight and flush got there. By betting you give them a chance to bluff. Just brainstorming here.. I have no credentials that hold any weight but I'd be checking that river on the bet and be content on either winning what's in the pot or losing to the better hand

deg= 'degenerate' card player - reserved for people whose lives revolve around gambling. I ain't judging you. Just explaining what he called you. Its not really derogative, just a term that the lifestyle poker players refer to themselves as.
