I think I have hocd, but I know I'm straight I know I'm not gay or bi but when I see. good looking guy I get thoughts randomly of gay shut and it bothers me so much I hate it, I wanna die

I was exactly the same once, believe me I know how it feels but we also know how to remove it like I did. The solution is the same in every person. That's what we do... just contact the centre through www.thelindenmethod.co.uk and you will see that anxiety and HOCD are pointless, unnecessary and so inappropriate.

I suffered from Hocd in waves. I'm a straight male aged 22. when I was 14 to 16 I went through hocd. I have been normal since. Until last year I had a wave of hocd which lasted a few days it went. Now a week ago another wave has started to affect me. I'm just so tired of this and don't want to go through this again. I know I am not gay and it's just thoughts that hinder my true feelings and give me false ones. But I just want to go through this again.

The truth is, you MUST address and remove the core disorder. You have elevated fear responses and they are causing you to risk assess everything... in this case you are doing it with your sexuality as the focus. You need to remove the core disorder. That's what we do... just contact the centre through www.thelindenmethod.co.uk and you will see that anxiety and HOCD are pointless, unnecessary and so inappropriate.

I think I have hocd because I get gay thoughts and I just don't like them, ive been battling these thoughts for months and now I'm not having as much as a resistance as I once did and that makes me scared. I don't want to be gay at all. I know I'm straight deep with in me. I've always liked women and I even loved one at one point and when we broke up that's when these thoughts started to happen

This was posted 3 years ago but I’m still going to say. I’m a 14 year old girl. For about a month it was my brain telling me I was bi when I knew I was straight. Then now it’s every time I see a girl I have to say to my brain I’m straight and I respond with I know and I move on. Some days it’s worse than others. My brain tells me other things but I’m not willing to share because they really make me uncomfortable. I also go through things where I compare foods to things and now I have restricted my self from eating those foods in a certain way just to avoid thinking about it.

I am 16, and I have a girlfriend, and I've had her for two months and i couldn't be any happier. But my HOCD is giving me the anxiety that either I am gay or will become gay. And sometimes, it gives me feelings and I worry they are genuine. And sometimes I get suicidal thoughts from it, and I just want it to end. I want to love my girlfriend and be dedicated to her and spend my life with her, and I don't want to lose that. I've done everything I can, and with this coronavirus bullshit, I can't get treatment yet. Should I fight these thoughts or just let it flow at this point, cause I'm willing to do anything. And I'm scared because I have said suicidal thoughts and I've had this issue since I got my girlfriend, which I know means it's just in my head, but it just honestly feels like it can change everything and i'm terrified. And what's worse is the fact that I just got suicidal urges and thoughts only having it for two months, and I don't know what to do if it gets any worse. And then I learn there's this thing called "sexual fluidity" and I don't know if it's true or fake, and it scares me even more.

Hey, a few days back I came to know that I'm actually suffering from HOCD and these are just my thoughts which made me experience the horrible stuffs for almost an year now. After finding out that I've HOCD, I was rather relaxed than worried as I came to know that these were just thoughts and I'm straight only. So what should I do when I get these thoughts again? Should I think that these are useless thoughts and doesn't matter? Or should I pretend that "okay even if I'm lesbian, so what?"

I have known that I was straight for years and have gone through hocd in the past, but this time it came around I just feel no sexual attraction towards the opposite gender. Is this just a symptom of the anxiety and stress?

how about health anxiety? I'm always thinking I need to go to doctor and get checked and always have thoughts of something being wrong (health wise) I get alot of palpitations, skip beats, I'm always focused on my breathing and makes me feel short of breath.. why is this and what can I do...thanks
@anxietypanicattacks7 жыл бұрын
Exactly the same science PJ... it's HOCD but with health as the subject matter. Agoraphobia is the same with distance from perceived safety as the subject... etc. All anxiety based phobias are the same response with different subject matter. In order to overcome it, you have to address the CAUSE... the cause is NOT the catalyst... it is the genetic predisposition to suffering. This is done in a structured but simple method of recovery. That's what we teach PJ... that's why what we do is so curatively successful. Look here: www.thelindenmethod.co.uk/testimonials3/linden-method-facebook-and-social-media-testimonials and then look at the other testimonial tabs. Take care my friend.

isit true that ppl suffering from Hocd will experience loss of attraction to opposite gender for a period of time ?
@anxietypanicattacks7 жыл бұрын
I am not sure that is the experience of ALL sufferers but some certainly yes. I think most people, like I did once, avoid sex completely if they can so as not to activate the thoughts or exacerbate them in some way.

Mr Charles. I am 25 years old and I have been through therapy for more than 2 years. Now I feel much better but still exists the fear... When I look at pictures of attractive men, or even with my friends... what happen? What do I feel? I know it is not attraction, but when the intensity of the thoughts increase, I feel anxiety in my chess, I feel very confused, I really need the answer of my doubt, I need to know if that feelings are proving my homosexuality or not. I just can’t live with the uncertainty... what happen to me? There is solution of that? thanks a lot!!

CharlesLinden just also wanted to say... this video set me into a place i haven't been in a long time. it shows fact, and it helps so much with those confused about HOCD vs actually being gay... you are BORN gay. you know it from the moment you can develop "feelings" for someone else, very early on in life.... those who are all of the sudden questioning their sexuality and having anxiety about it are "HOCD".... there is no hidden self. i am so happy you made this video, it has made me come to an ultimate "enlightenment." thanks again for everything Charles.

I can barely find anything on bisexuals dealing with SOOCD. Can this condition cause a bisexual to lose all attraction to ONE gender only?
@anxietypanicattacks2 жыл бұрын
Nicole, yes, in theory that's what could and would happen.... if you were heterosexual or homosexual, you would have a distinct prefrence predefined by genetics BUT, if you do not have that predefined preference (bisexual), it is entirely normal to 'what if' both as 'risk'. You know you are bisexual but you are risk assessing in both directions "what if I am gay?" "what if I am straight"... when in fact, you are neither. Does that make sense?

Sophia, OCD is frustrating because it does shift its focus. Fear of mental illness is common Sophia but only as common as all inappropriate anxiety driven risk assessments.

well done, good video.. I suffered with many OCD's HOCD when I was like 11, "what if you're gay?" although I now identify as bisexual I still acknowledge that I had severe OCD constantly checking my groinal response constantly "testing" myself with porn nervous and intrusive thoughts would obsess over the fear of finding someone attractive etc... you guys know the rest I have had many themes, HOCD just being one of them..
