What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? For most modern Pioneer receivers, you can put the still images in JPG format into any folder. Putting the images in a folder that's easily recognizable is easy to work with, that's why it's in the videos that way. Please note: At the bottom of the still image screen is Folder > and Folder< This is how to change to another folder for a different image. @@TyKun999 If you put a jpg image on a USB drive with no other folder, that is the Root Folder. That will work just fine. FAT 32 will work, you don't need to worry about the unit size.

Pioneer NEX receivers can play still images in a slide show. Images that are stored on a USB flash drive can be played back on the receiver. I'm having the same problem. I created a 72 DPI image at 800x480 in photoshop (the same resolution and specs as the radio's screen) It looks great when I'm viewing the image, but when I save it as the background, it is horribly pixelated and blocky. Did you find a fix for this?

I have a couple questions about the AVH-2300NEX. First, is there anyway to get rid of the fake analog dial that shows up when you are listening to the radio? 2nd, how can I get my custom background images on the dang thing? I've put the jpg file on my thumb drive that was formatted to FAT32, but when I plug it until the USB cable it says the file isn't playable. I can't find anywhere what file format is needed or what size the image should be.

You can't change the radio dial image when listening to the radio on AVH-2300NEX. A different in dash receiver will show Album Art if it's broadcast by the HD radio station. Fat32 Works with the NEX. Though I suspect some files will randomly not work. I strictly have music on my USB's but despite having FLAC support, some of my FLAC files will not work, however work fine on every other platform.

Whenever my iPhone is plugged in and CarPlay connects, if I’m just using satellite radio but open any app on my iPhone it switches the source to iPod and it is very frustrating as most times I’m charging my phone but want to listen to satellite, is there a way to change this

Got in the car today and the screen has angled itself down far enough that I can see the CD slot and I cannot get it to go back up if I push the eject button the screen goes back to where I want it to go and then right back to where I don’t want to go if I push the eject button and then wait for the screen to move back and push it again it gives me the option to adjust the screen position but I can’t push on it because it’s not highlighted and then it just goes back down to where I don’t want to be I have done a hard reset twice...help!

First, check to be sure an installation wire is not jamming the screen motorization mechanism and gear system. This could be a result of the screen motorization clutch releasing tension by automatically moving the screen. Second, if you are using Maestro RR or another Steering Wheel remote control adapter unplug it. Once the steering wheel remote control adapter is unplugged, does the screen work normally? For example: A custom image can be displayed on the home screen and a factory preset image can be displayed on the AV screen. I notice when I do this, the image quality drops immensely from the way it looks on screen before the image is saved. I've tried utilizing 800x480 .jpegs and even some higher quality wallpapers and still, the image quality just drops. Is this supposed to happen?

Be sure to have the latest firmware installed on your in-dash receiver. I'm aware of only one way to save an image to the in-dash receiver. That is shown in the video above. I'm not aware of any custom save settings that would effect the image quality. You may want to reset the system microprocessor to see if that will change how the image is saved. The microprocessor reset button is on the hard key panel. You'll need a paper clip or other small point to press this button. When you plug in a phone to USB does the in dash receiver recognize and charge the phone? If so, I think it may be an issue with formatting the USB drive. Please format your drive as NTFS or FAT 32. Put some music, and images on the drive. Don't use any folders on the drive. Give the system a few moments to read the drive before switching to the USB source. how do you delete a still image that youve saved to home screen

You can save a different still image in place of the old still image. The process is exactly the same as shown in the video above. That will erase the old image and replace it with a new image. You can also change the home screen image to one of the factory preset images. Changing to a factory image will not delete the old image from the system memory. I'm not aware of a delete image function.
