KZbin Music works with Android Auto on Pioneer receivers. Many, many other music apps also work with Android Auto. I'm not sure about Sound Cloud. For any app to work with Android Auto, the app developer must make it possible. There is a full on screen interface for the app when used in Android Auto. This almost always includes track information and album art. Sound Cloud can certainly be played through the Pioneer receiver's Bluetooth Audio Source. Do you mean that you have to physically push down on the RCA input on the back of the in-dash receiver in order to see a camera image ? if this is the case the camera connection may be bad or in dash receiver camera input may not be working correctly. Pioneer AVH-2300NEX was manufactured back in 2017. It's a pretty rare thing for one person to have 2 units with the identical problem. Is the Purple/White reverse gear wire connected? The Purple/White opens the camera view window. Do not connect the Purple/White wire to the camera. I don't understand what you mean by saying "I have replaced the rca connection as well". Please be more specific.

For both Pioneer AVH-X8850BT and AVIC-F80DAB you'll need to use USB Port 2 for Android Auto. USB Port 1 is used for Apple CarPlay and does not work for Android Auto. I have a Pixel 4 and the Pioneer DMH-W4660nex and can do everything with Android Auto, make calls, navigate, play music, send text messages however when I get a new text msg it doesn't pop up on my Pioneer screen. As of 2020 September, there have been a number of issues reported across many different Android Auto capable products with the latest version of Android Auto and the latest version of Android OS. Just to be clear, I'm not aware of Android Auto showing any text messages on screen. The system will read the text message back to you, but not show the message so you can read it. i did the firmware and no it doesnt work. no matter what i do. also i tried again yesterday and reset the stereo and still nothing and android auto doesnt work either volumes are up for wireless bluetooth etc. not sure whats going on..

Since you are using Maestro to retain your amp, start with these three things, First play the radio tuner source and fade the system all the way to the front to confirm it retains the radio output for music playback without losing audio in the front channels. Second, go to the radio's AV source and select "Car Features" and see what options there are for Factory Uconnect BT. Third, check your CHY2 T harness to confirm that you connected the 3.5mm plug to the in dash receiver 3.5mm AUX input for audio commands and not the wired remote input. And finally, I recommend to delete Android Auto from your phone and the re-install it on your phone. Delete the in dash receiver from your phone's BT section and delete all phone from your in dash receiver BT section and start fresh with Android Auto.

When no guidance sound comes through, try fading to front only, and if you only have two speakers only connect to front outputs. Otherwise I can set the volume but no guidance message. It even softens the music for where the guidance should be making the notification. The following was a report of no guidance sound.

Please be more specific about your question. Are you using Android Auto? Does Android auto work properly other than this nav issue? What navigation app are you using? Does a different nav app work better? Check the nav app on the phone when it's not connected to the in-dash receiver to see if voice guidance switched on or off? Please be sure the voice guidance volume is up on the phone and on the in-dash receiver. With your 2 speaker system, do you know if you are using the Front Speaker/RCA outputs or the Rear Speaker/ RCA outputs? Voice commands, messages, and phone calls are heard through the Front Speakers / RCA outputs only. Music will be heard from all outputs, both front and rear. If you are using the Rear outputs on your 2 speaker system, you'll hear music but will not hear navigation, notification, or phone calls. To test your system, please use the Fader Control and fade the system all the way to the front. Can you hear music? Can you hear voice commands? The Caps Lock on your keyboard appears to be stuck. What Pioneer in-dash receiver model number do your have? You can usually find the model number near one of the corners of the face of the in-dash receiver. Do you have the Android Auto App installed on your Phone? Are you using USB Port 1? Or USB Port 2? If there is a connection issue, I always start to trouble shoot with cheap Flush Mount and other extension cables. To reduce variables, I recommend to test with the wire that came with your phone and plug it directly into the Pioneer in-dash receiver? Does this solve the problem? If so, try a different extension cable. Please be sure to have the latest firmware installed for your Pioneer AVH-2330NEX. When you start your vehicle, the Pioneer AVH-2300NEX is designed to be ready to make and receive Bluetooth hands free phone calls, and give turn by turn navigation instructions, if so equipped, even if the music source is powered off. For your situation, I recommend one of two options. First, before you switch your vehicle off, "Power Off" the in dash receiver. "Power Off" and "Source Off" are two different things. The difference between Power Off and Source Off is explained in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iX6roJuniJx3ic0 If you choose to Power Off the system, when you start your vehicle again, the AVH-2300NEX will power up and No Source will be selected but your phone can still make and receive calls. If this does not achieve the effect you are after, you may want option 2 which is placing a toggle switch in the RED WIRE on the in dash receiver wire harness. With a toggle switch in place on the red wire and the switch in the open position, the in dash receiver will not power up at all until you move the toggle switch to the on or closed position. Only at that time will the receiver power up.

No, you're not missing anything. Android removed this option back in 2021 or so. This video was made back in 2017. Your system is designed to automatically connect to Android Auto if available. You can use the Pioneer receiver as though it's not connected to Android Auto by touching the receiver's home button and selecting a music source after the vehicle starts. You have a Samsung phone. AS of 2018 September, It will not connect for Wireless Android Auto because Samsung has not enabled this feature on the phone. Until Samsung enables Android Auto Wireless, the wired option is available. Android Auto Wireless is available on Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX and AVIC-W8400NEX. When I connect my phone it doesn't start android auto. I have the setting correct. It seems like it is trying to read the phone as usb stick. As it charges phone for a sec then stops and then charges phone for a sec. Repeat. Do I need to update the head unit first?

What in-dash receiver are you using? What phone, OS version, and version of Android Auto? Do not start the Android Auto App on your phone before you plug it into the in-dash receiver. @@deckerdotto6035 I've the AVH-2330 NEX, Firmware version 8.35, my phone is an Asus Zenfone 4 MAX using Oreo, Android 8.1 and I've latest version of Android Auto. Yes, I started it after it was plugged in with no on screen mirroring from my device! Very frustrating as I follow directions, verbatim and even went to a few forums to check if Settings was an issue!

What does the in-dash receiver do when you plug in your phone through USB? Does it recognize that a phone has been plugged in? Have you seen the Android Auto Setup Screens? Is it possible the USB cable is the trouble? Have you tried a different cable? Are you using a USB extension of any kind? A USB flush mount adapter? And you have tried to plug directly into the back of the in-dash receive without using any USB extension?

The Green Parking Brake Wire is the key. If you engage the parking brake, also known as the hand brake, and you can not access the in-dash receivers Bluetooth Settings it's possible the Green Parking Brake Wire is not correctly connected to the vehicle.
