Using Revit In a very effective way is the only thing that makes you stand out among people. Who is with me? ✅

The best way to use Revit for maximum efficiency is to set the project browser, properties panel to shortcuts such as 11 and 22(so you can maximise their extents, not these small windows cornered at the left of the screen where you have to scroll in these tiny annoying windows. the top tool bar hidden too and can quickly be accessed with Alt+X+2 if ever. This allows your workspace to be completely given to the viewport and no other unnessarcy tools crowding the space. Need a view? Double tap 11 open the view then double tap 11 again and hide it! The next thing is to identify what work you do, what workflows work for you, such as setting pick lines as a shortcut etc etc set those as shortcuts then only model within the 3d viewport because pretty much everything can be done in 3D. The align tool is also crucial for this. The pick plane tool too. Honestly Revit UI is still stuck in the idea of working in plan, section ..... but this is the closest I have gotten to be somewhat free in the modelling process all while still maintaining the proper workflows and standards that a revit and architectural BIM model requires

First thing I do is in graphics tab change pre-selection to red or green from blue. Prevents users from dragging model components in 3D section view.

Hello. I have a very strange kind of problem. Maybe you got any clue what is it? I run Autodesk Revit and without opening any project I can see in task manager Revit eating my memory piece by piece. It begins with 5% of total memory usage and slowly it goes up until it uses about 60% of all memore available. I repeat I don't open any model/project, just start the program and watch it destroys my memory...

Nice beard. It makes you look like a distinguished architect. How about a beret with a feather in the top. You look like a young Leonardo da Vinci. This is Ken from the states. Excited to say that I got my new job and fully loaded and ready to start watching your videos again. Thank you so much for putting these out You're doing a lot to help move the software forward. I think Autodesk should fly you to the US and have you be a presenter at Autodesk University in Vegas next November. If you'd be willing I put a good word in for you.

greetings, Which Pc (or laptop) do you recommend to me for beginning to work in Revit? Something around 1500 euros. I thought about some Ryzen 7 3700x with RTX 2060 or 2070 and 16GB of ram, for stationary pc. Or some i7 10750h with RTX 1660ti or 2060, 16GB of ram for laptop. I will not do some "extreme" projects, my company is doing apartments renovation. So I would like to use Revit to optimize interior design with "structural" solutions. So I can get quantity of materials for a project, and when I do some changes I do not need to change almost all (like in AutoCad now). Also I will need that for some basic plumbing.
