This works best with a peach or nectarine that is not over ripe or too soft.

Thank you I’m almost 60 years old and I FINALLY learned how to cut a peach from you. FWIW, I didn’t need to make the equatorial cut, the wedges just started coming off after the star cut.

Yeah that peach doesn’t seem ripe. Sounds like a apple when you twisted. Twisting a ripe one destroys it unfortunately

True, but my kids hate mushy textures, so this is perfect for them.

That's not a peach it's a nectarine

I have found that ripe peaches just fall off the core without even needing to twist it.

I’ve been slicing them all around like a star, not the equator cut though, but my issue lately is with a ripe or over ripe item, not coming apart, and then I have to tear it apart and then it just becomes a juicy wet mess…

How do i know that even before seeing this video and cut the peach in star shape 😮
@r5LgxTbQАй бұрын
I usually do one orbital cut down the crotch then twist. pluck the stone out and you get two nice halves. but that wasnt working on some nectarines I got so I'm going to have to try this way

what the different between nectarine and peache
@panch02ne Жыл бұрын
Not much, peaches have fuzzy skin and nectarines have smooth skin. Peaches tend to be bigger with softer flesh but it all depends on ripeness.
