I took 1 inches. Is good to measure as you sew that way you don't, have to have your finish work too tight or too loose.

Thank you so much for watching. Am glad you were able to cut it. So the length of the fabric you will use for the flap is 9 inches and the width should be 3 inches. And for the shield, you use the same length with the flap. But when you want to cut the width, cut out 6.5 inches and fold it equal. Which means you will have 3.25 inches for the shield. I will advice you watch the video and be pausing it to see it clearly. Thanks. I hope this will help.

For the zip you use half inch to attach the zipper. And for the pocket use half inch. Please watch the video again you see i used half inch for the zip and the pocket
