Love it!!! I followed several creators DIY shag and yours was by far the best and I loved the way my hair came out following your direction. I did take cosmetology years ago so I did have a little experience. I love how you don't get down on those of us who can't afford to get to the salon as much as we'd like and have to rely on ourselves and tutorials like yours. So thank you!!!

I had the Rachel in 1996-97 or so when I was 26/27. I loved it and it worked for me. I had great body and bounce naturally in my hair. I had to leave my Aveeda hair dresser & salon (how 90s) because he always gave me this cut even though ai wanted to grow my hair longer and past the top of my shoulders. I have to have a full "real" ponytail. This cut is really the same, just longer in length. My hair has gotten wavy with age (love it) and I've given myself a modified Wolf with the front reaching to mid chin. I have 2 front cowlicks and bangs have never been in my world unless it's a side pull across to the right ear length. GenX is the best generation.

As usual it's adorable! But I do have a quick question for you. Would you happen to have different shaped mannequin heads that you can show us what is the best haircut for each shape face? Just throwing it out there lol, I've always gone under the assumption that I have a pumpkin head and the other day my sister-in-law said I've got a heart-shaped face. Now I'm curious whether or not the haircut I've chosen for myself for the past 40 years lmao, is actually the right one. 💇

Is the octopus haircut the same as the jellyfish haircut or are they to different haircuts?
@katherinebrown5720 Жыл бұрын
I feel like the octopus cut is different than this... this is definitely more a jellyfish.

I like this haircut...I can see why they call it the octopus, even though I don't like the reference, it's very round on the head and then the length representing tentacles...but I love this cut!

So retro and so cool only wish the perimeter line was a little thicker.

BYW- have had the Farrah Faucet style, natural curly, blond! Connected and disconnected. Don’t like the disconnect. All products throughout the years are discontinued now. My hair is naturally wavy and a lot of products weigh it down.

I'm hopefully getting a wolf cut on Tuesday. Hopefully I say. As the stylist is a bit older and I'm not sure she's even heard of the style before lol. It's the only style I think could work with my Trich regrowth without shaving my hair off or getting something unflattering.

How did it go?

@@labornurse ok I guess. Not as "wolf cutty" as I hoped. The layers aren't quite full on enough.

Hi Jake, I have been following you for awhile now. Love your energy, educational information, my hair is similar to yours and Have done the “wolf cut” that I love. I can’t find the proper products to use that won’t weigh my hair down or be to sticky. Can you please help me? Don’t have a lot of money, so maybe some items more affordable. Would appreciate any input or suggestions. Thank you

, Question: From the center parting, you're cutting on the horizontal. After the ear, it appears you're cutting vertically from the parting from the ear, and the bottom of that is where the occipital... Am I right? Then you're cutting below the occipital to blend?

Can you describe how that is not a shag and more like a Rachel cut?
@momof3plusdsg2 жыл бұрын
Due to a misunderstanding (miscommunication from my side) I had this haircut in 2004 and it suited me and at least on me it was sort of wash-and-wear but I'm not getting this haircut intentionally. I have hidden, long layers, that I'm happy with. I have to be able to pull my hair up and off my face completely for the job I'm training for. But I'm itching for change, so I'm going for color; something that'll make transition to gray softer and more uniform.

This tutorial was a bit hard to follow. I couldnt tell how he was sectioning as he when down the back of the head, what angle or elevation. It first felt like just a 90°cut but It came out nice

Yeah you have done some awesome cuts ✂️, but I'm definitely not a big fan of this one. I don't think that everyone could pull this one off. I really need a new look for 2022. Oh HAPPY VALENTINES DAY 💝. My hair is cut in a lob (long bob). How can I get it cut now. Please help me. So I can show my hairdresser. Please. Thanks again ❤☺ 😊 😘 🤗. Laura

@@laurastory1853 Honey, the best I could tell you is to look under'' The Life Of Hair'' on you tube. The stylist's name is James. Plus there is another one on KZbin by Beka Bradshaw. She's under Sam Villa. There are short versions and longer versions.

I love to watch your videos but often, as with this one, it didn’t show you cutting the style from beginning to end. We didn’t get to see what back of the style looked like. Filming the angle your hands actually used to cut the style from beginning to end would be much more informative and entertaining.
