Beautiful Job! Glad to say my new Wolf Cut looks a lot like this...my stylist nailed it, but he sectioned the back and front with rubber bands then dry cut it a bit to finish...I was sorta trippin cuz it looked like something I'd do at home, but it really worked. My hair is a little shorter than this, but it still looks great, with all that volume around the crown. I was just having a bit of trouble styling it. I was using the nozzle attachment, but after watching this i used the diffuser in the manner you did, and VIOLA. I love love love it. Cant wait till my hair gets longer, as this is a stunning cut. Thanks for the styling instruction : ). I'll look into the defining mist...as long as it isn't 30 bucks a can, I'll try it

I got a wolf cut today. I’m incredibly nearsighted and it’s hard to watch my stylist, so thank you for the tutorial. I’ve been wearing my hair long and straight for awhile. Now I can put my flat iron down and let my curls come out and play!
@stephanielong47633 жыл бұрын
Finally a cut made for me! I've been wearing a shag for a few years now and love how much bulk or weight is removed but I've never liked the way it looked without flat ironing. My hair is so damaged from heat and bleach that I've been looking for a cut to compliment my super thick wavy mane so that I can stop ironing it and I can simply wash and go. My hair has lots of volume and texture but it's also very coarse which makes it difficult to smooth and straighten. Thank you so much for sharing!
@AzerinaM2 жыл бұрын
I did mine the other night, I love it, watching this helps me learn how to fix it now. When I did it the natural curl in my hair POPPED! My hair is so heavy the curl jus dies so I end up with a lions mane, now I have curl and it looks great!
@victoria91484 ай бұрын
So i followed your tutorial on the shag cut but it ended up looking more like this. Im not in any way disappointed with it. I’m just happily surprised that it actually looks good because usually I can’t for the life of me cut hair in any shape except just trimming the ends straight off. My hair naturally is a thin, kinda-straight-kinda-almost-just-a-little-bit-close-to-wavy, “Nordic” type, and 14 years of me constantly putting hair extension in didn’t really help the thinning situation… but with this haircut it actually looks both fuller and longer even. Just wanted to rant and thank you for a very easy to understand and follow-through tutorial for people who isn’t as experienced in hairstyling. I’m very happy with the way it turned out 😊

I love this. I had my hair cut into this style yesterday. It’s a few inches shorter than what I wanted (almost right), but otherwise looks like this. I’m 62 and have thick naturally wavy hair. My waviness looks a lot like what’s in this video. I actually wondered if I could get extensions and keep the style to give it a little length for a bit until it grows. We are going to Italy in a couple of months. Mine is collar bone length. I’m going to try this texturizing spray to give it definition. Maybe I can adjust to the length. Great video. You made a hair cut and style video fun!

Jake, your wolf cut is the best I've ever seen. Love it, love your work and love the knowledge you share! ❤❤ Thank you for this! That's what I love about the shag....it's been around since the dawn of the dead! 😂😂 You can improvise it and do all kinds of things with it. You can invert it and turn it into an A-line bob. It can be disconnected and becomes a mullet...a traditional, centuries old hairstyle among some of the pueblo Native Americans, like the Hopi Tribe. And we definitely can't forget how it (the mullet), became synonymous with the 80s and 90s. A shag can be worn by any hair texture, you can wear it tamed or untamed and it never gets old. Hundreds of years from now, people will still whisper the name, shag. The others will think it's a new, innovative haircut/hairstyle and refer to it using an edgy new term! 😉😂

A bit too much dialogue but….. I have spent years trying to get a stylist to give me a curly mullet, I have 3a long curls. They would never cut short enough on top because they thought it would be too disconnected from the length I wanted to keep. Thousands of dollars later I have started cutting my own hair because it costs a lot and I am never happy with salon results. There are a few other tutorials I have tried and they were pretty close. This one is exactly right. I finally have a super full top of my hair and get to keep my long ringlets and I LOVE the disconnect. Thanks for this video and now I have a guide for my next trim instead of point cutting separate curls and thinning out here and there and ending up with not quite right. This cut perfectly frames my face and lets me keep my short bangs and top layers. I would love it if you could make a video of this cut with long curly hair. Pretty please with a mullet on top hahaha

The elevated cut you did to the back...how much of a differential would be too much between the hair that was left out of it (hanging down the back) and the hair that was cut? If this was done on really long hair, I'm guessing the mullet part would have to be more graduated or done in several elevations? (i'm not a professional obviously).

I love this cut and want it for myself. However, I have super thick hair but it's fine so I really need additional thinning/texture.
