Beautiful. Had no idea it was that complicated. Looking for a solution for messy cables indoors and want to make a feature of them. I'm no electrician, yet this video gives me a foundation for my idea when I talk to my man about the project. Thank you

If you wrap a piece of tape around pipe/conduit so it overlaps itself straight, it makes a good cutting guide. I tend to just bust out the evo cut off saw though.

Thanks for your time with these vids. Would you please do a longer video (or series of videos) of a simple steel conduit installation showing how to mount saddles/inspection boxes and equipment then joining it all together as an actual installation on a wall showing how to measure for bends etc. Conduit is one area a lot of electricians struggle.

+Dean Williams Thanks. I will over the coming months do more videos on steel conduit as requested. My time is limited at the moment as we are over run with new learners at my college. Thanks again for the support GSH Electrical

Why don't you make handles for the stocks to make it easier?

I mean making handles for the stocks and dies, not the bending bar.

@@GSHElectrical sorry, yank over here. If done by hand the threader handle is at least 18 of your kings thumbs.

Great video, really helpful. Does anyone think galvanised metal conduit is suitable to be used outdoors as a garden plant support frame if i paint it with hammerite special metals paint? If i paint all the pipe and maybe silicone the threads it should keep the water out and along with the paint stop it rusting. 🤔

Always looking for a shortcut but is it OK to use an angle grinder for the initial cut through the conduit rather than a hacksaw since it's going to be filed off anyway?
@johnt93793 жыл бұрын
In real life everyone just does that anyway. Some sites class it as hot works though, so to get around that people use either a metal cutting circular saw or a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade. I don't think anybody uses a hacksaw as shown here.

That was such an amazing job but to be honest who does this manually anymore !? electric tools are all over the place I can do the same thing in the matter of minutes 😐

When your on a commercial site, cutting 25m conduit all day hurts your shoulders and hands. Get a sabre saw, if their is a tool that makes work easier and lighter take it and use it, your not their to impress anyone or blend in with anyone, i want a long career
