Every stylist Ive had says it does not matter where I part my hair. They just use a middle part as a guide for cutting... So maybe one side is little heavier than the other then after it is dry they remove weight. Love this.
@lfuentes4098 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, my stylist does the middle part but then my hair is always shorter on one side a lopsided. Now I will ask for this going forward.

Ok, you are correct! I have the same hair color and natural curly hair. I’ve been wearing this style for years with my curls or blow out. In the past 10 years I don’t think stylists learn this technique 😢 and I’m always trying to fix it or live with it. Thank you for sharing how I can fix a $70 (with tip) hairstyle when I get home ❤

Omg SAME!!! I have also noticed this is in the last 10 years!! Every time I get a hair cut and it’s maybe once a year is not done right

Jake, your beautiful spirit shines thru in your video's. In your video's you give knowledge and explanation of the techniques you are implementing. I love watching you create styles. Would love to see entire haircut and style from start to finish.

For anyone else feeling this way-this is very much a video of tips after you’ve already gotten your license. I could imagine never having gone though the schooling and this video being extremely confusing. If you’ve learned how to cut curtain bangs already this video is amazing in fixing some common mistakes that make or break a haircut.

Does anyone know which video it is where he actually showed the cutting and technique? I'm not quite sure why it wasn't in this video.
@veg4life8503 жыл бұрын
Hi, Jake! First I'd like to say, you're awesome! I just watched my first video of yours (How to cut and style a shag with curtain fringe) and subscribed because of how it showed up-close of all the cutting, styling and bits of WHY to use particular techniques... and I was super exited to see the 'side' cut version, but I'm totally perplexed of why all the first cutting and also the blowout styling was skipped through. Just telling us about it but not showing the visual of it at the same time, doesn't really help a simpleton like myself. Could you please upload a re-cut longer version of this video, so I can learn better of how to do this full hair cut. Thanks! All the best.
@honestyisthebestpolicy85663 жыл бұрын
I agree. I feel like he has awesome techniques but they’re not really for diyers it’s for professionals to enhance their skills. But even then I wish he could explain just a tiny bit more during the process cause he starts cutting and then it’s “okay let’s dry it” lol

Hi I love this side part hair cut that's exactly what I want but I am currently growing my fringe out from the slanted fringe I had. Its been 4 months since I tried to trim that fringe but its only to the tip of my nose now and less. It's unruly and I need a new hairdresser or I can try and do what you did but not sure if I can do a good job? Thanks for your cool videos love your vibes.

I like your energy and all but I think the way you explain how to cut hair is for people that already know how to cut hair, not for people that don’t know what they’re doing. If these are meant to help people with cutting their own hair (which I personally don’t suggest doing unless you’re a trained professional) but if that’s what these are for then they need more detail and to be slowed down and explained more.
