Thank you for this video!! I will be using my ceramic wave mold for the first time this week, and I was wondering how long to make the glass. Super helpful and very timely!

You’re a great presenter - really clear, articulate and natural. I’ve been cutting glass for a while but I’ve learnt some new tips - so, thank you.

They are simple called running pliers. We get almost of all of our equipment from WarmGlass here in the UK. They do not ship abroad though.

Thank you for the great videos. Always very helpful. Question: can I dip the cutting blade in mineral oil or other types of oil instead of the one sold for glass?
@FiredGlass Жыл бұрын
Yes most types of oil can be used, kerosene, light machine oil and so on.

Hi Jill. Love the videos. Do you use thinfire between the mold and glass too?
@FiredGlass3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. We use Boron Nitride rather than thinfire.

Interesting thanks. My glass art teacher taught me to cut in the opposite direction, away from me. I assume the direction is not important?🐨🦘

Direction of cut makes no difference, personal preference. If you were using a sharp knife, then away from you makes sense.
