Hi Jill thank you for the video. Can I suggest dampening the grinder dust when cleaning it out of the machine. Way safer than all that dry dusty powder. Grinder paste is also good for grinding off hard edges or bits of stuck kiln wash. instead of using grit

Love making these, but I hate mixing up the sludge so this is what I do. I keep my powder in a small jar that fits into my rock tumbler container. It doesn't fit perfectly, so I put some paper between my jar and the tumbler container for it to hold in place. I then have a small rock that I put in there that helps to move stuff around as it tumbles. I let it tumble for a half hour, then check on it. If it is mixed well it is done. Stir in more water if needed.

0:18 Elderly American coal miners called the condition "rocks in the box" 😆😆 silicosis in modern parlance if I am correct. Not a pleasant debilitation. 1:28 I would be thinking vacuum cleaner, but perhaps it is so finely powdered that it would go through a filter? But then if you want o reclaim it for use, a wet/dry vaccum would loose your material? They look like they could be drilled to make buttons for garments if size could be managed. Thank you for the lesson!

Thanks Ralf. Lighting has not changed, nor camera settings, so perhaps time has played its merry dance. It's a busy time of year, as I type Jill is at a 4 day exhibition at Souther Nature Art down in Fareham in the UK. She has 2 pieces in the exhibition and has a stall in the artist's market for the 4 days. They all through September it's NROS, as mentioned in this video. Again 2 pieces in the central exhibition and then opening the studio for various events during the month. Much preparation and long days to get the pieces ready. We hope all is well with you.
